Overview

This document describes a 2.4G TV headphone system designed for private listening. The system allows users to watch television without disturbing others by transmitting audio wirelessly from the TV to a headphone receiver.

Function Description

The core function of this device is to provide a private listening experience for television audio. It consists of an audio transmitter and a headphone receiver. The transmitter connects to your television and wirelessly sends the audio signal to the headphones. This enables you to listen to TV programs at your preferred volume without affecting others in the room. The system utilizes 2.4G wireless technology, offering a maximum wireless range of approximately 200 feet (60 meters), providing flexibility for movement within a home environment.

Usage Features

Setting Up the Audio Transmitter:

To begin using the system, the audio transmitter needs to be set up. First, connect the supplied USB charger to the transmitter's "POWER" USB port. When connected to a power source, the transmitter's LED indicator will light up green and then turn off, entering standby mode. A steady green light indicates that the transmitter is successfully paired with the headphones (which is the default state upon purchase).

Next, connect the audio output from your television to the transmitter. The system supports multiple connection options. For televisions with RCA audio output, use the white and red plugs of the supplied RCA/3.5mm audio cable. Connect these to the "L" and "R" AUDIO OUT ports on your television's connection panel. It's crucial to ensure these cables are not plugged into the TV's audio input. Then, connect the 3.5mm stereo plug from this cable to the transmitter's "STEREO IN" port.

If your television has a 3.5mm jack audio output, you can use a 3.5mm Male to Male Audio Cable (not included) to connect the "STEREO IN" of the transmitter to the 3.5mm jack of your audio source. This allows connection to various audio sources such as smartphones, MP3 players, tablets, portable speakers, and other digital devices. When an audio source is connected to the transmitter's "STEREO IN," you can switch to the RCA/3.5MM AUDIO SELECTION using the audio select switch on the transmitter.

For televisions equipped with an S/PDIF optical output, you can use an S/PDIF optical cable (not included) to connect the TV's connection panel to the transmitter's "OPTICAL IN" port. This port supports high-resolution audio (96kHz/24bit). When using TV optical out, it's important to set the audio format on your TV to "PCM" as "Dolby / DTS" is not supported. When connected to the transmitter's "OPTICAL IN," you can switch to the OPTICAL AUDIO SELECTION.

The private listening feature does not silence the audio playing through your television's built-in speakers, sound bar, or other connected A/V equipment. On some televisions, you may need to manually switch the audio output from the built-in speakers to the connected audio transmitter equipment. Consult your equipment manufacturer's manual for specific instructions.

Connecting to Existing Audio Equipment:

If you already have a sound bar or other audio equipment connected to your television's audio jacks, the transmitter offers passthrough connections. You can use the transmitter's "(L) OUT" and "(R) OUT" ports to connect to your other audio equipment using an RCA stereo audio cable (not included). Similarly, if you're using an optical connection and have existing audio equipment, you can use the transmitter's "OPTICAL OUT" to connect to your other audio equipment.

Using the Headphone Receiver:

To turn on the headphone, press the power button for approximately 2 seconds. The LED on the headphone will light up blue. If no audio signal is detected, the blue light will turn off after 5 minutes. Adjust the size of the headband to comfortably fit your head. To achieve the desired sound level, use the volume control located on the headphone.

DSP Modes:

The headphone system incorporates advanced DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology to provide excellent sound quality. It offers three distinct audio modes:

  1. Original Sound: This mode provides the raw, unaltered audio. The DSP select indicator will show no light.
  2. Musical Mode: Designed to enhance the listening experience for music, offering a concert hall-like quality with shock bass. The DSP select indicator will show an orange light.
  3. Film Mode: Optimized for movies, providing a 3D surround sound theater experience. The DSP select indicator will show a blue light. You can switch between these modes using the DSP select switch on the headphone.

Wired Headphone Use:

The headphone can also be used as a regular wired headphone. Simply connect your audio source to the 3.5mm headphone jack using a 3.5mm Male to Male Audio Cable. When the cable is plugged in, the headphone will automatically turn off its wireless function.

Pairing Mode:

The headphones and transmitter are pre-paired at the factory. However, if re-pairing is needed:

  1. Connect the audio transmitter to a power source and turn on the headphones.
  2. Locate the "DSP SELECT SWITCH" on the headphones and press it for more than 3 seconds. The status LED on the headphones will begin flashing.
  3. Locate the "Pairing button" on the bottom of the transmitter and press it for more than 3 seconds. The "POWER/CHARGING INDICATOR" on the transmitter will begin flashing.
  4. When the green LED on the transmitter and the blue LED on the headphones become steady simultaneously, it indicates successful pairing. A short beep will be heard in the headphones.

Maintenance Features

Charging:

To charge the headphones, place them on the headphone holder of the transmitter. The headphones will automatically switch off, and the charge status LED on both the transmitter and headphones will light up red. Once the rechargeable batteries are fully charged, the charge status LED will turn off.

If charging the headphone with a USB charger when the transmitter is unconnected, there are two scenarios for the charge status LED on the headphone:

  • Initially (e.g., five minutes ago), the headphone LED will be purple, and then turn red.
  • Later (e.g., five minutes later), the headphone LED will be red.
  • When fully charged, the LED will turn off.

When connecting the transmitter and charging the headphone with a USB charger, if no audio signal is detected, the charge status LED on the headphone will be purple, then change to red, and finally turn off when fully charged.

Automatic Shut-off:

If the headphones receive no audio input, they will automatically shut down after five minutes to conserve battery life.

Initial Use and Storage:

Before using the headphone for the first time, it is recommended to charge the batteries for 6 hours. When not in use, always place the headphone back on the transmitter to ensure it remains charged and ready for use.
