User Instructions
Welcome to use ST05B infrared motion sensor!
The product adopts good sensitivity detector and integrated circuit. It gathers automatism,
convenience, safety, saving-energy and practical functions. It utilizes the infrared energy from
human as control-signal source and it can start the load at once when one enters detection field. It
can identify day and night automatically. It is easy to install and used widely.
SPECIFICATION:
Power Source: 220-240V/AC Detection Range: 360°
Power Frequency: 50Hz Detection Distance: 12m max(<24)
Ambient Light: <3-2000LUX (adjustable) Working Temperature: -20~+40
Time Delay: Min.10sec±3sec Working Humidity: <93%RH
Max.15min±2min Power Consumption: approx 0.5W
Rated Load: Max.1200W Installation Height: 2.2-4m
300W Detection Moving Speed: 0.6-1.5m/s
FUNCTION:
Can identify day and night: The consumer can adjust working state in different ambient light.
It can work in the daytime and at night when it is adjusted on the “sun” position (max). It can
work in the ambient light less than 3LUX when it is adjusted on the3” position (min). As for
the adjustment pattern, please refer to the testing pattern.
Time-Delay is added continually: When it receives the second induction signals within the
first induction, it will restart to time from the moment.
Good sensitivity Poor sensitivity
INSTALLATION ADVICE:
As the detector responds to changes in temperature, avoid the following situations:
Avoid pointing the detector towards objects with highly reflective surfaces, such as mirrors
etc.
Avoid mounting the detector near heat sources, such as heating vents, air conditioning units,
light etc.
Avoid pointing the detector towards objects that may move in the wind, such as curtains, tall
plants etc.
CONNECTION:
Warning. Danger of death through electric shock!
Must be installed by professional electrician.
Disconnect power source.
Cover or shied any adjacent live components.
Ensure device cannot be switched on.
Check power supply is disconnected.

Overview

The Thebe 360 Degree Surface Mount PIR with 3 Sensors, model ZN25154, is an infrared motion sensor designed for automatic control of lighting loads. It integrates automatism, convenience, safety, energy-saving, and practical functions by utilizing infrared energy from human movement as a control signal source.

Function Description

The device is capable of identifying day and night conditions, allowing the user to adjust its working state based on ambient light. It can operate continuously in both daytime and nighttime when set to the "sun" position (maximum LUX), or only in ambient light conditions less than 3 LUX when set to the "3" position (minimum LUX). A key feature is its continual time-delay function: if a second induction signal is received within the first induction period, the timer restarts from that moment, ensuring the load remains active as long as movement is detected.

Important Technical Specifications

  • Power Source: 220-240V/AC
  • Power Frequency: 50Hz
  • Rated Load: Max. 1200W (incandescent), 300W (LED/CFL)
  • Ambient Light: <3-2000LUX (adjustable)
  • Time Delay: Adjustable from Min. 10sec ± 3sec to Max. 15min ± 2min
  • Detection Range: 360°
  • Detection Distance: 12m max (<24°C)
  • Installation Height: 2.2-4m
  • Detection Moving Speed: 0.6-1.5m/s
  • Working Temperature: -20°C to +40°C
  • Working Humidity: <93%RH
  • Power Consumption: approx 0.5W

Usage Features

The ZN25154 is designed for ease of installation and widespread use. It features good sensitivity, but users should be mindful of installation conditions to optimize performance.

Installation Advice: To ensure optimal sensitivity and prevent false triggers or poor detection, the detector should not be pointed towards:

  • Objects with highly reflective surfaces (e.g., mirrors).
  • Heat sources (e.g., heating vents, air conditioning units, lights).
  • Objects that may move in the wind (e.g., curtains, tall plants).

Testing Procedure:

  1. Set the TIME knob to the minimum (10s) and the LUX knob to maximum (sun).
  2. Switch on the power. The sensor and connected lamp will initially be off.
  3. After a 30-second warm-up period, the sensor becomes active.
  4. If an induction signal is received, the lamp will turn on.
  5. Once no further induction signal is detected, the load will stop working within 10sec ± 3sec, and the lamp will turn off.
  6. To test in darkness, turn the LUX knob anti-clockwise to the minimum (3). If ambient light is above 3LUX, the sensor will not work. If ambient light is below 3LUX (darkness), the sensor will work. Without an induction signal, the sensor should stop working within 10sec ± 3sec.
    • Note: When testing in daylight, the LUX knob must be set to the "sun" position; otherwise, the sensor lamp will not work.

Troubleshooting:

  • Load not working: Check power source and load connections, verify load functionality, and ensure working light settings correspond to ambient light.
  • Poor sensitivity: Check for obstructions in front of the detector, high ambient temperature, ensure the signal source is within the detection field, verify installation height, and check moving orientation.
  • Sensor not shutting off automatically: Check for continuous signals in the detection field, verify the time delay setting (ensure it's not at maximum), and confirm the power corresponds to the instructions.

Maintenance Features

The device requires minimal maintenance beyond proper installation and occasional troubleshooting.

Installation Steps:

  1. Remove the upper cover by turning it anti-clockwise.
  2. Connect the power and load according to the provided wiring diagram.
  3. Fix the bottom unit to the desired position using the inflated screw.
  4. Reinstall the upper cover onto the sensor.
  5. Switch on the power and perform the test.

Safety Warning:

  • Danger of death through electric shock!
  • Installation must be performed by a professional electrician.
  • Always disconnect the power source before installation or maintenance.
  • Cover or shield any adjacent live components.
  • Ensure the device cannot be switched on accidentally during work.
  • Always check that the power supply is disconnected before proceeding.
