Why air has seeped back into Ziploc Food Saver vacuumed bag?
- FfperezAug 1, 2025
If air seeps back into a vacuumed Ziploc Food Saver bag, inspect the bag's seal for holes or wrinkles. If you find any, cut the bag open and reseal it, or use a new bag. Also, ensure no moisture or liquid is present within the bag seal; if there is, cut the bag open, wipe it, and reseal, or use a new bag. For foods with sharp edges, make sure they haven't punctured the bag. Additionally, make sure no liquids were drawn to the sealing strip area. Check for loose, worn, or cracked Upper and Lower Sealing Gaskets. Moisture from foods with high liquid content can also prevent proper sealing; in this case, cut the bag open, wipe the top inside, and reseal.
