Function Description:
The ZKS-T23 is primarily a standalone fingerprint recorder for time attendance applications, with an optional access control function. It integrates ZKS attendance management software and is designed for popularizing fingerprint products due to its competitive price and good performance. The device supports various identification methods including fingerprint, password, card, fingerprint + card, and fingerprint + password for enhanced security.
Users can register their fingerprints by establishing an ID number and then pressing the same finger three times on the sensor. The terminal captures the fingerprint characteristics and stores them in its memory under the corresponding ID. For card-based registration, users wipe their card on the card-reader area, and the card's unique number is stored under an ID. Password registration involves inputting and confirming a password under an ID. The system allows for multiple fingerprints (up to three, or even ten) to be registered under a single ID for a user. Administrators have full control over the terminal, including browsing data, setting functions, and managing the system, while general users can only record their logs.
The terminal can communicate with its management software via RS232, RS485, and TCP/IP. For RS485 communication, the distance can extend up to 1200 meters, supporting up to 31 networked units. TCP/IP communication allows for up to 255 units. A USB interface is also provided for convenient data transmission between the machine and a PC. After staff members clock in or out, their fingerprint information and time are recorded and transmitted to the computer for analysis and generation of attendance statements, which can be exported as Excel spreadsheets.
The device features a keypad with number keys (0-9), an ESC key for exiting or canceling menus, a MENU key for entering the main menu, and an OK key for confirmation. It also has dedicated keys for "Clock In" (▲) and "Clock Out" (▼) functions, which can be used to manually specify attendance status.
