Get Content From Someone
1. Ask your friend to follow the “Share Content With Someone”
steps above.
2. Open Settings and touch Connected devices >
Connection preferences > Nearby Share and switch on
Show notification if it is turned off on your phone.
3. You’ll get a notification that someone is sharing content with
you. Touch the notification if you haven’t set your phone
visible to nearby devices.
NOTE:
Make sure both devices are unlocked, and have Nearby
Share, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and location turned on.
4. Touch Accept to get the content.
Choose Who Can Share Content With You
1. Open Settings and touch Connected devices >
Connection preferences > Nearby Share.
2. Touch Device visibility and choose one of the following
options.
 Everyone: Your phone is visible to anyone who is nearby
while your phone screen is on and unlocked.
 Contacts: Your phone is visible to your nearby contacts
while your phone screen is on and unlocked.
 Hidden: Your phone is only visible while Nearby Share is
turned on and you need to make your phone visible
manually.
