timers,memorymanagement,inter-modulecommunication,sequencecontrol,
monitoring,alarmreporting,andlogging.
lTheSystemControlSub-system(SCS)controlsthepowersupplyandtheswitchover
betweenactiveandstandbypowersupplies.
lTheOperatingAndMaintenancesubsystem(OAM)providestheconguration,alarm
management,andperformancemeasurementfunctions.
lTheDataBaseSub-system(DBS)storesandmanagessystemdata.
lTheBarrierSub-system(BRS)isusedforprotocolstackprocessing.
lTheBarrierAccessControlSub-system(BRACS)controlsaccesstothebearerlayer.
