Do you have a question about the Zzipp ZZLUX410BAT and is the answer not in the manual?
This document describes the Zzipp ZZLUX410BAT, a rechargeable RGBW battery-powered PAR light. It serves as both a user manual and a safety guide, providing instructions for installation, operation, maintenance, and technical specifications.
The ZZLUX410BAT is a versatile LED luminaire designed for various lighting applications. It features four 10W RGBW 4-in-1 LEDs, capable of producing a wide range of colors and color mixing. The fixture is equipped with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, offering cordless operation for up to 5 hours in full color mode, 4.5 hours in eco mode, 8 hours with presets, and 12 hours in single color mode.
The device supports multiple control modes, including DMX-512, Master/Slave, Sound Activated, Infrared (IR) remote control, and Wireless DMX (using ZZDMXLINK200 or ZZDMXLINK400 controllers). This allows for flexible integration into existing lighting setups and standalone operation.
The fixture is designed for indoor use in dry locations and can be mounted in various orientations. It can sit on a flat surface as an uplight, fit inside 300x300mm truss as a truss warmer, or be mounted using its M10 threaded hold for clamps. An adjustable tilt support allows for up to 25 degrees of tilt to illuminate walls or facades.
DMX Control: The ZZLUX410BAT can be controlled via DMX-512 protocol using a standard 3-pin XLR connector. Users can set the DMX address (001-512) and choose from 4, 6, or 11 DMX channel modes. In case of DMX signal failure, the fixture can be configured to hold its current mode, black out, or auto-run. The DMX channel modes offer control over Red, Green, Blue, White, Dimmer, Strobe, Color macro, White color temperature, Preset programs, Speed, and Sound Control. Specific tables (TAB.2, TAB.3, TAB.4) detail the values for color macros, white color temperature presets, and preset programs (RGB Fading, CMY Fading, RGBW Fading, RGBWCMY Fading, RGB Color changing, CMY Color changing, RGBW Color changing, RGBWCMY Color changing).
Master/Slave Mode: The fixture supports Master/Slave operation via XLR cable connection. One fixture acts as the master, and others in the chain synchronize their behavior. The master device can be set to single color, fade, auto run, sound control, or strobe.
Auto Run Mode: Preset color mixing programs can be activated. Users can select "Auto" from the menu and adjust the color change speed.
Fade Mode: Preset color mixing programs with fading can be activated. Users can select "FADE" from the menu, choose the desired fade type, and set the fade speed.
Sound Activated Mode: In this mode, the fixture changes colors to the rhythm of music. Users can adjust the microphone sensitivity from "SPO1" (maximum sensitivity) to "SPO9" (minimum sensitivity).
Wireless DMX Operation: The device can be controlled wirelessly using ZZDMXLINK200 or ZZDMXLINK400 transmitters. To enable wireless DMX, users navigate to "Ui Fi" in the menu and select "ON." The fixture must be paired with a transmitter by pressing the PAIRING button on the transmitter. A yellow LED on the fixture indicates the wireless DMX status:
IR Remote Control: The fixture can be controlled via an IR remote. To activate, navigate to "ir" in the menu and select "ON." The remote offers functions such as activation/blackout, UP/DOWN keys for value adjustment, automatic mode, sound mode, strobe mode, speed control for auto/fade modes, Master/Slave setting, fade mode activation, DMX address/channel mode setting, maximum brightness, eco mode (extends battery life by ~30 minutes), and static color selection. Amber and UV keys are not active.
Display Protection: The LED display automatically turns off after 10 seconds to save power. Pressing the "Menu" button reactivates it. In Master/Slave mode, a red dot on the display indicates DMX signal status: slow flashing for slave fixtures receiving DMX, fast flashing for master fixtures sending DMX.
Temperature Protection: The fixture has a built-in temperature protection function. The LED display shows the current temperature. Light output decreases to 80% at 65°C and 60% at 70°C. At 75°C, the LEDs automatically turn off until the temperature drops to 55°C.
General Maintenance: Regularly check the mechanical and electrical components. Keep the luminous flux emission lenses clean using a soft cloth and glass cleaner. During maintenance, disconnect the power supply and use a vacuum cleaner or compressed air to remove dust from inside the body.
Battery Management: The fixture contains a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Always fully charge the battery before storing the fixture to prevent capacity loss. If unused, fully recharge every 6 months. When charging fixtures in a flight case, ensure the case remains open. The recommended charging temperature is between 0°C and 35°C. The battery fuse (5A) is removed for transport and must be reinstalled before use. If the fixture is to be stored for more than one month, remove the battery fuse. Dispose of the battery properly according to local laws at the end of its life.
Fuse Replacement: The appliance has two fuses: a 3.15A 250V fuse for power and a 5A 250V fuse for the battery. Always replace fuses with ones of the same characteristics.
Fixture Reset: To reset the fixture to factory default settings, press the "Menu" and "Enter" buttons simultaneously. To clear the fixture's run time, press all four buttons (Menu, Down, Up, Enter) simultaneously.
Safety Instructions: The manual emphasizes reading and following all instructions carefully. The product is for indoor use only, in dry locations, away from rain, moisture, excessive heat, humidity, and dust. It should not be mounted on inflammable surfaces. Installation, operation, and maintenance should only be performed by qualified personnel. Adequate ventilation is required, with at least 50cm clearance from adjacent walls. Users should not look directly into the LEDs or with magnifying instruments. The product should not be dismantled or modified. Electrical connections must be made by qualified personnel. The fixture is not designed for permanent operation; consistent operation breaks are recommended to ensure longevity. Always switch off the fixture when not in use, before cleaning, or before maintenance.
