Ethernet Port Overview The Switch 5500G-EI 24 Port provides 24 fixed 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet ports,
4 combo SFP ports, 2 fixed stack ports and one expansion slot. The expansion slot
can accomodate the 8 port SFP module, 1 port 10G module or 2 port 10G
module.
The Switch 5500G-EI 48 Port provides 48 fixed 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet ports,
4 combo SFP ports, 2 fixed stack ports and one expansion slot. The expansion slot
can accomodate the 8 port SFP module, 1 port 10G module or 2 port 10G
module.
The Switch 5500G-EI SFP 24 Port provides 24 1000BASE-X SFP ports and 4
10/100/1000Base-T auto-negotiation ethernet ports with RJ-45 connectors, 2
fixed stack ports and one expansion slot. The expansion slot can accomodate the 8
port SFP module, 1 port 10G module or 2 port 10G module.
The following features are found in the Ethernet ports of the Switch 5500G-EI
10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet ports support MDI/MDI-X auto-sensing. They can
operate in 1000Mbps full-duplex, 100Mbps half-duplex/full-duplex and
10Mbps half-duplex/full-duplex.
Gigabit SFP ports operate in 1000Mbps full duplex mode. The duplex mode
can be set to full (full-duplex) and auto (auto-negotiation) and its speed can
be set to 1000 (1000Mbps) and auto (auto-negotiation).
10Gigabit Ethernet port operates in 10000Mbps full-duplex mode. The duplex
mode can be set to full (full-duplex) and auto (auto-negotiation) and its speed
can be set to 10000 (10000Mbps) and auto (auto-negotiation).
The configuration of these Ethernet ports is fundamentally the same and is
described in the following sections.
