1. Safety
ATTENTION!
Read these instructions carefully before connecting and
starting the unit! As with all technical equipment, the proper
function of the unit and the safe operation of the unit can
only be guaranteed when the general safety precautions
and the special safety instructions in this operating manual
are complied with.
1.1 The unit may only be used in accordance with the
following instructions. We will accept no liability
whatsoever for any damage resulting from the use
of this unit for other purposes.
1.2
Check to make sure that the operating voltage indicated
on the type plate matches the voltage of the power
supply before starting the unit. Incorrect power supply
voltage can destroy the unit.
1.3 Condensation can pose risks if the unit is brought
from a cold area to a warm area. For this reason, the
unit may not be started until it has reached ambient
temperature.
1.4 Do not introduce any foreign objects into the unit as
this can cause electrical shocks. This does not apply
to the proper replacement of parts in accordance with
the operating manual.
1.5 Only original 3M ESPE parts may be used when
replacing defective parts in accordance with this
operating manual. No liability whatsoever will be
accepted for damage resulting from the use of other
parts.
1.6 If there is reason to believe that it is no longer safe
to operate the unit, the unit must be switched off
and labeled in order to prevent the unit from being
used by another person. The safety of the unit
can be impaired, for example, when the unit does
not function as indicated or when there is visible
damage.
1.7 Care must be taken when cleaning the unit to make
sure that no cleaning fluids enter the unit, as this can
lead to short circuits or dangerous malfunctions.
1.8 The unit may only be opened and repairs on the unit
completed by a qualified technician.
1.9
Do not expose the unit to solvents, flammable liquids or
strong heat sources, as these can damage the plastic
housing.
1.10 The accident safety and prevention regulations for
compressors VGB 16 must be followed when operating
the vacuum pump.
1.11 The unit must be switched off and disconnected from
the power supply before changing the oil.
1.12 Make sure that there is no blockage of the cooling
air intake at the installation location. The unit must be
placed on a flat surface for operation.
