2. For TEP-200 EU/LEP-200 EU/LEP-200 EU OR, push the Test/Status button (Fig. B:3) to
make sure a good connection is made between the earpieces and the charging points in
the receptacle (Fig. B:4). Observe the indicator light (Fig. B:5) to ensure the earpieces are
charging (Fig. D:3).
3. When charging the EEP-100 EU/EEP-100 EU OR, the lights will automatically activate
once the earpieces are in place and the USB cable is connected to a power source.
The charging cases are designed to prevent charging in temperatures below 0ºC (32ºF)
and above +45°C (113°F).
Use only new alkaline AA or LR6 batteries (for TEP-200 EU/LEP-200 EU/LEP-200 EU OR).
If using an external power supply for charging the earplugs, only connect to a listed power
supply certied according to IEC/UL/CSA 60950-1 or an equivalent local safety standard.
The power supply shall have a rated output of 5 Vdc, 200 mA (minimum).
Removing the Earpieces from the Charging Unit
To remove the earpieces from the charging unit, gently lift up the earpiece while holding on
to the charging case.
Eartip Selection
Three 3M™ UltraFit™ Eartip sizes (small: 7-12 mm, medium: 8-13 mm, and large: 9-16 mm)
are provided as well as a single size of the 3M™ PELTOR™ CCC-GRM-25 Eartips (6-9 mm).
To choose the appropriate 3M™ UltraFit™ Eartip size, begin with the medium size. Ensure
that it is small enough to penetrate the ear canal and provide a secure t but also is large
enough that at least one ange seals the ear canal at the canal entrance. If the medium
size does not provide a proper t, proceed with the small or large size eartips as these were
designed to t users for whom the medium size is not suitable. With the 3M™ CCC-GRM-25
Eartips and 3M™ Torque™ (8-14 mm) (not included in TEP-200 EU/LEP-200 EU and EEP-
100 EU), one size is intended to t most.
WARNING: Do not use product if proper t cannot be obtained.
Attaching Eartips and Optional Retention Cord (not included with EEP-100 EU)
Only Use 3M™ PELTOR™ Eartips designed for use with this product. Do not insert the
earpiece directly into the ear without a correctly attached 3M™ PELTOR™ Eartip.
Note: For the EEP-100 EU, the retention cord may be purchased separately (see “Reorder”).
1. To attach the optional retention cord, place one end of the retention cord onto the eartip
stem (Fig. A:4 and Fig. E:1).
2. Push the eartips (Fig. A:5) onto the eartip stem (Fig. A:4 and Fig. E:2).
3. Fully seat the eartip at the base of the eartip stem (Fig. E:3).
