DID YOU KNOW...

The name ‘Tyrannosaurus’ means ‘Tyrant lizard’ and ‘Rex’
means ‘King’. This deadly dinosaur is often called T. Rex for short.
•
T. Rex belonged to a family of dinosaurs called the Tyranno-
sauridae. They, in turn, were part of a larger group of meat-eaters
called the Carnosauria.
•
The first T. Rex bones were found in Montana, USA in 1902.
They included jaws, parts of the skull, backbones, shoul-
ders, pelvis and back legs.
