Charge the CheckMaste
r
C
harge the CheckMaster for a minimum of four hours before first
u
se.
a Connect the mains adaptor to the CalMaster2.
b Plug the CalMaster2 mains adaptor into the power socket.
c Recharge for at least four hours.

Install the CalMaster2 IRIS software
Insert the CD into the computer; the install program should start
a
utomatically. If it does not, from the Windows Start menu, select
Run… and type D:\Setup.exe (where D is the drive letter of the CD)
a
nd click OK or press Enter.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install.

o run the software, select Start | Programs | ABB | CalMaster2.

Register CalMaster2
From the CalMaster software, select Help | Register
CalMaster2… A registration screen appears:
1. Type the User name, Company name and Customer
identification number.
2. Select to either create a PDF of the registration or send the
details by email:
– To create a pdf, select the Create a pdf file for
printing or faxing check box.
– To send an email, leave the Create a pdf file for
printing or faxing check box unselected.
3. Click Next. Either an e-mail is sent to
calmaster@gb.abb.com automatically or a PDF is created:
– If an e-mail was sent, a response is received within 24
hours. A confirmation message that the e-mail has
been sent appears.
– If a PDF was created, print the PDF and either send it
to:

4. Click Close to exit CalMaster2.

Connect the CheckMaster to the Compute
r
With the CalMaster2 software running:
a Slide the cover down to reveal the serial port.
b Connect the RS232 cable to the CalMaster2
c Connect the RS232 cable tothe computer.
From the CalMaster2 IRIS software, click the button. The
software checks that the CalMaster2 is connected.

Verify a Flow Meter
Follow the detailed instructions in the manual (IM/VCM2) to
connect to a flow meter.
Note. The 'Customer identification number' is printed on the
label of the CD.
Note. As this is the first time that the CheckMaster has been
used, no flow meters are listed.
