1. What’s covered and for how long?
Ableton AG (“Ableton”) warrants to the original purchaser that
Ableton’s products, parts, and accessories are free from defects in
material and workmanship under normal use and service starting
from the date of purchase from the Ableton webshop or an au-
thorized Ableton dealer and continuing for three (3) years after
that date.
Ableton warrants factory-refurbished products and parts (Able-
ton Move units or parts that have been repaired, rebuilt or re-
conditioned) to be free of material and operational defects for a
period of one year from the date of sale.
2. What’s not covered?
This Limited Warranty depends upon proper use of the product
by the purchaser in accordance with this booklet and any other
instructions or documentation provided by Ableton.
It does not cover:
• Products purchased from anyone other than the Ableton web-
shop or an Ableton authorized dealer
• Equipment that has a removed or illegible serial number
• Damage caused by improper installation or improper con-
nection to any peripheral device
• Damage caused by any unintended use of the supplied pow-
er adapter
• Damage caused by an external electrical fault
• Damage from use of parts not manufactured or sold by Able-
ton
• Products upgraded or repaired not according to the instruc-
tions provided by Ableton
• Modifications to the product not approved in writing by Able-
ton
• Normal cosmetic and mechanical wear
• Normal wear and tear of the battery
• Damage or loss during transit to an authorized Ableton Repair
Center
3. What are Ableton’s obligations?
During the applicable warranty period, Ableton will repair or
replace, at Ableton’s sole discretion, without charge to the pur-
chaser, any defective component part of the product. To obtain
service under this Limited Warranty the purchaser must first con-
tact Ableton Support at www.ableton.com/help and obtain fur-
ther instructions about the process. After being contacted, Able-
ton will cover shipping costs and repair or replace the defective
product(s). Ableton may, at Ableton’s sole discretion, use rebuilt,
reconditioned or new parts or components when repairing any
product, or replace a product with a rebuilt, reconditioned, new
or comparable product. Goods presented for repair may be re-
placed by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being
repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods. The
Limited Warranty for repaired products will be applicable for a
period equal to the remainder of the original Limited Warranty of
the original product. All replaced parts, components, boards and
equipment become the property of Ableton. If Ableton determines
that any product is not covered by this Limited Warranty, Ableton
will provide the purchaser with an estimated repair cost and, if
the purchaser agrees, the purchaser must pay all parts, shipping,
and labor costs for the repair or return of said product. If the pur-
chaser does not agree to this, the repairs will not be made and
the product needing repair will be disposed of unless the purchas-
er informs Ableton within three working days that they want the
product returned at the purchaser’s cost and provides Ableton
with payment for return shipping.
4. What are the limits on Ableton’s liability?
THE WARRANTIES PROVIDED IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY,
TOGETHER WITH ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES COVERING
ABLETON PRODUCTS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION
ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR
A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBIT-
ED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ABLETON SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR
ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT,
OR SIMILAR DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS, DAMAGES TO
PURCHASER’S PROPERTY, OR INJURY TO PURCHASER OR
OTHERS ARISING OUT OF THE USE, MISUSE, OR INABILITY
TO USE ANY ABLETON PRODUCT, BREACH OF WARRANTY,
OR NEGLIGENCE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ABLE-
TON’S OWN NEGLIGENCE, EVEN IF ABLETON OR ITS AGENT
HAS BEEN ADVISED OF SUCH DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY
CLAIM BROUGHT AGAINST THE PURCHASER BY ANY OTHER
PARTY. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE COMPLETE WAR-
RANTY FOR ABLETON PRODUCTS, AND IS GIVEN IN LIEU OF
ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY
SHALL EXTEND TO INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE PURCHASED
THIS PRODUCT FROM THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER OR ANY
SUBSEQUENT PURCHASERS. IF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY EX-
TENDS TO ANY PURCHASERS WHO ARE NOT THE ORIGINAL
PURCHASER, THE LIMITED WARRANTY STILL COMMENCES
AT THE DATE OF PURCHASE BY THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER
AND DOES NOT RE-COMMENCE AT THE TIME OF RESALE OR
TRANSFER. THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER AND SUBSEQUENT
PURCHASERS MUST HAVE PROOF OF THE ORIGINAL DATE
OF PURCHASE OF THE PRODUCT AND SUBSEQUENT PUR-
CHASES OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. IF ANY PORTION OF
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS ILLEGAL OR UNENFORCEABLE
BY REASON OF ANY LAW, SUCH PARTIAL ILLEGALITY OR UN-
ENFORCEABILITY SHALL NOT AFFECT THE ENFORCEABILITY
OF THE REMAINDER OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, WHICH
THE PURCHASER ACKNOWLEDGES IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE
CONSTRUED TO BE LIMITED BY ITS TERMS OR AS LIMITED AS
THE LAW PERMITS.
This Limited Warranty allocates the risk of product failure between
the purchaser and Ableton, and Ableton’s product pricing reflects
this allocation of risk and the limitations of liability contained in this
Limited Warranty. The agents, employees, distributors and deal-
ers of Ableton are not authorized to make modifications to this
Limited Warranty or make additional warranties binding Ableton.
Accordingly, additional statements such as dealer advertising or
presentation, whether oral or written, do not constitute warranties
by Ableton and should not be relied upon.
