How to clean your microwave oven
• Before you clean the microwave oven, turn it off at the socket and unplug it.
• Keep the inside of the oven clean. When food or liquids stick to the oven walls, wipe
clean with a damp cloth. We recommend that you do not use harsh detergent or
abrasives.
• On the right hand side inside the oven there is the wave guide cover. Microwaves are
passed through this to enable you food to be cooked. It is important that this is kept
clean at all times. To clean the cover, wipe with a mild detergent and water then allow to
dry.
• You can clean the outside of the oven with a damp cloth and polish dry with a soft dry
cloth. Don’t allow water to seep into the ventilation openings.
• Wipe the door and window on both sides, the door seals and adjacent parts frequently
with a damp cloth to remove spills or spatters. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• Do not allow the control panel to become wet. Clean with a soft damp cloth. Do not use
abrasives agents, detergents or spray-on cleaners.
• If steam builds up inside or around the outside of the oven door, wipe it away with a
soft damp cloth. This may happen when the microwave is used is a humid atmosphere.
• If the inside of the oven smells. Put a cup of water with the juice and the skin of a
lemon in a deep microwave safe bowl. Place the bowl into the microwave and heat for
3 minutes on full power. Wipe the ovens walls thoroughly then dry with a soft dry clean
cloth.
• Failure to keep the oven in a clean condition could lead to deterioration in the interior
surface of the microwave. This could seriously affect the life of the appliance and
possibly result in a hazardous condition.
• Regularly clean the turntable support and oven floor. Wipe the bottom of the oven with
a mild detergent and water, then dry with a soft cloth. You can wash the turntable
support in warm soapy water, dry thoroughly before replacing.
• Regularly remove the glass turn table and clean it in warm soapy water. Ensure the
turntable is thoroughly dry before replacing.
• When removing the turntable support from the oven, make sure it is correctly fitted
back into the microwave.
• NEVER attempt to remove the waveguide cover form the inside of the microwave.
• The oven should be regularly cleaned to remove any food deposits.
