1. Remove twelve (12) screws from the base cover
2. Using a scribe, carefully pry open the base cover starting from the gap between the base cover and top assembly next to the LCD
hinge (as indicated in yellow)
3. Slide the scribe along the edges of the base cover in the direction indicated until all the latches have been released
4. Lift the base cover from the left side of the system and remove the base cover from the system in the direction indicated.

WLAN Module Replacement Procedure

Remove Base Cover Screws

Remove twelve (12) screws securing the base cover.

Pry and Open Base Cover

Carefully pry open the base cover starting from the gap near the LCD hinge.

Lift and Remove Base Cover

Lift the base cover from the left side and remove it from the system.

Disconnect Battery Cable

Disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard.

Disconnect WLAN Antenna Cables

Disconnect the WLAN antenna cables from the WLAN module.

Remove WLAN Module

Remove the screw securing the WLAN module and then remove the module.

Install New WLAN Module

Insert the new WLAN module into the mainboard connector.

Connect WLAN Antennas

Connect the MAIN (black) and AUX (white) antenna cables to the WLAN module.

Place Rubber and Connect Battery

Place a square rubber on the WiFi connector area and connect the battery cable.

Reassemble Base Cover

Place the base cover, engage latches, and install twelve (12) screws.
