Choosing the color of the trace background
Press the
SET-UP button, then press the <System Setup> menu key in the Screen
window. Place the cursor on "Trace Background" and then choose either Black or
White.
If the instrument includes a VGA monitor, then the <VGA> key enables the
transfer of information to this screen (see page 4-11).
Auto off
Note The Auto off function is valid only with battery operation, to pre-
serve battery life.
This function automatically powers down the instrument if no action is
performed or no key is pressed for the delay selected in this menu, after saving
the session underway.
• To validate this function, from the Screen window, move the cursor to Auto
Off and select the time (5 min. or 15 min.) at which time the instrument will
automatically power down if no key is pressed.
• To disable this function, from the Screen window, move the cursor to Auto
Off and choose the No option.
Back-lighting level
Press the SET-UP button, then with the <System Setup> key, in the Screen
window, move the cursor to Backlight.
• Choose the No option to select the normal screen level lighting.
• In dim lighting conditions, choose the Always option for the screen to be
permanently back-lit.
• Choose one of the options 3 min. or 30 sec to have a back-lit screen for the
chosen period. This backlight will then be available.
Important When the MTS
e
is operating on battery, it is recommended to select
the No or 30s backlight option, in order to maximize the autonomy.
Welcome message
The Welcome message gives the main possible actions after powering on the
unit.
