Getting Started MTS

Choice of length (OTDR) or frequency (WDM) unit
Press the
SET-UP button, then with the <System Setup> key, in the Country
window, move the cursor to the Unit option to choose :
• kilometers, kfeet or miles for an OTDR trace (MTS with OTDR module).
• THz or nm for a WDM spectrum (MTS with WDM module)
Choice of language
Press the
SET-UP button, then with the <System Setup> key, in the Country
window, move the cursor to the Language option to choose the required
language.
Choice of printer
In the Printer window move the cursor to Printer to choose one of the options :
File save the display to a bitmap file
None no printer selected
Internal if the 5200 /PR optional internal printer is present
(in the MTS 5200
e
mainframe only).
External to use an external printer connected to the
Centronics port.
Choice of the printing mode
This choice is present on the MTS 5200
e
version, if the internal printer is selected:
Normal printing in the direction of the length of the paper roll,
consequently the size of the characters provides easier reading
than in the following mode.
Compress printing across the width of the paper roll (see the examples on
page 3-22).
Choice of the external printer type
If the external printer has been selected in the Printer window, move the cursor to
Printer type to choose one of the options:
Epson B&W for Epson FX-850 printer type
Epson LQ for Epson Stylus color printer type
Canon BJC70LQ for Canon BJ 30, Canon BJC 70 and Canon BJ200exprinter
types
Canon BJC240 LQ for Canon BJC 240 printer type
HP for HP Deskjet 500, 510, 520, 540, 560, 660C, 690C,
895 Cxi and HP Laserjet 3, 4, 5, 6J printer types.
DPU 411 for Seiko DPU 411 printers
