Adding overlay traces
With one or more traces already displayed, you can add other traces to the
display (up to 4 traces on the screen at the same time can be displayed). To do
this:
• Press the
FILE key, and then in the Memory menu select the trace files to be
added (see "Selection of several files" on page 8-18).
• Press the <Load> key.
• Press the <Add Overlay> key: as the traces are loaded, they progressively
disappear from the file list.
• At the end of the loading, the Results screen is displayed: the new traces are
displayed superimposed with the already existant traces.
Note If the number of selected files is above the allowed total of traces to
be displayed, then a message indicating that only a partial load will
be carried out: only the first selected traces of the authorised total of
4 will be displayed.
Overlaying the current trace
To copy the current trace in overlay memory use the following procedure:
• With the current trace displayed on the screen, press the <Expert> then
<Overlay> key, then on <New>.
The current trace is stored in the overlay memory: it is shown dimmed (or,
with a color screen, in a different color) and it is automatically shifted above
the new trace.
• It is possible to start a new acquisition.
Overlaying the current trace
Press the <New> key to copy the current trace in the overlay memory.
Note In the case of Multi-trace display with a multi-wavelength acquisi-
tion, pressing the <New> key removes all the displayed traces leav-
ing an available space for new acquisitions.
Swapping overlay traces
Measurements can only be made on the trace that is active and not on overlay
traces. To make a measurement on an overlay trace you must swap it with the
active trace. To do so, press the <Swap> key.
Removing traces
To remove a displayed trace, you must first make it active (see previous section),
then press the <Remove> key.
