The folding spare tire has a shorter
tread life than a regular tire. Replace
it when you can see the tread wear
indicator bars. The spare tire is not
designed to be mounted on a regular
wheel, and the spare wheel is not
designed for mounting a regular tire.
The folding spare tire cannot be
repaired. Special equipment is
required to remove it from the rim
and install a new tire. If it is
damaged, replace it with a folding
spare tire of the same design. New
spare tires are available at your
dealer.
Do not mount snow chains on it.
Do not use your spare tire on
another vehicle unless it is the
same make and model.
This tire gives a harsher ride and
less traction on some road
surfaces than the regular tire. Use
greater caution while driving on
this tire.
The spare tire is smaller than the
regular tire, reducing your vehicle’s
ground clearance. Such things as
road debris and parking lot speed
bumps could possibly damage the
underside of your vehicle.
Do not take your vehicle to an
automatic car wash when the
sparetireismounted.Becauseof
the reduced ground clearance, the
underside of your vehicle could be
damaged by the mechanism that
pulls the vehicle through the car
wash.
