ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION FOR

Astoria Arc Lamp

Model# 5170-21 / 22

1. Insert tube (B) into shade (A), tighten the pre-set screw (C) with Allen key (D). (For easy

access to pre-set screw (C), rotate shade (A) upward.) Insert the tube (B), (E)and (F) together ,

then tighten the pre-set screws (C) with Allen wrench (D).

2. Fold the excess cord and insert into tube (G).

3. Unscrew and remove pre-set screw (H), insert tube (F) into (G), tighten screw (I) with Allen

wrench (D).

Note: The Arc lamp should face forward in the same direction as the switch, and cord

coming out of the back of the base.

4. Screw tube (G), (J) and (K) together until tight.

5. Insert tube (k) into base (L) & washer (M), then tighten it with nut (N) using wrench (O).

You may need to pull any excess cord gently through the poles so that these two parts fit.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

This portable lamp has a polarized plug as a feature to reduce the risk of electric shock (one blade is

larger than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully

in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.Do not use with an

extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted. DO NOT ALTER THE PLUG .

Step 1: Shade and Tube Attachment

Insert tube (B) into shade (A), tighten pre-set screw (C) with Allen key (D).

Step 2: Cord Management

Fold excess cord and insert into tube (G).

Step 3: Tube Connection and Tightening

Unscrew screw (H), insert tube (F) into (G), tighten screw (I) with Allen wrench (D).

Note on Arc Lamp Orientation

The Arc lamp should face forward, same direction as switch, with cord from back.

Step 4: Pole Section Assembly

Screw tubes (G), (J) and (K) together until tight.

Step 5: Base Attachment

Insert tube (K) into base (L) & washer (M), tighten with nut (N) using wrench (O).
