The presser foot lift is set ilt the works occord i ng to tho mo to wh i ch
this sub-closs is going to be put . For stitc hing oitho r extrnmcly thin or
oxtromely th i ck ma terials the prnssor foot lift has to be odju51ed os
fo11ows:
1. Adjust the lift uccording to the thicknoss of tho mate rial.
The prossor foot should misc no higher obovc the material to be
sewn than ncccssiJry to allow the material to move freely.
2. Slocken the presser foot lift locknut 17, fig. 1, by turning it onti-
clockwisc.
3. Turn the pre!.!.er foot lift adjusting screw 22
clockwise for increasod presser feet lift, or
anti-clockwise for roduccd press er foot lift.
4. Tighten the locknut 17.
Preporation for sowing and iJ c tual operation
1. The voltago on tho current meter must tally with the detail s givtm
on tho moto r pinto.
2. Plug in to mains.
3. Stan tho motor by means of the switch on the front righthand si de
of tho st<md.
4. The urticul.1ted pres s er foot has tho tosk of prnvcnting the two-w ay
shifting of tho motctio t. The art i culated movcmont is brought about
by turning the screw 24, fig. 1, anti-clockwise. As the sew ing sp oed
increases, it becomes odv i soblc to discontinue the arti c ula ted
movem ent and to use t he presser foot ils a fix ed prosser foot . This
,s done by turning t he screw 24 clo ckw iso; the upw ard ilnd
downward moverm: n t. too, is discontinu ed by turning th e screw 22
anti - -dockw 1se, sec al so section 'Adjusting th o press er f oo t lift'.

En cas do vitesses de couture plus i!lcY~l!S ii est recommandable de
neutraliser cc mouvcmcnt acc omp.1gnant de sono que le pied
d e biche travaillc comme un pi ed de bichc fixo, c. ad. en tournont
vers la droile la vis 24 ct de neutraliser le mauvement aM;ondant
