Adjusting
the
needle holder (only
for
class
104-102)
1. With

needle holder 103, fig. 6,
the
needle clearance can
be adjusted as follows:
2. Slacken
the
screws
at
the
rear
of
the
needle holder.
3.
Move
both vices

to
the
desired needle clearance.
4. Re-tighten
the
screws.
Application
of
the sewing components:

The
sewing components
to
be found
on
this machine are
designed for twin needle coarse stitch ornamental seams with
ofset stitch (small n_eedle distance). Fig.
8.
Sub-class
104-102
The
sewi
ng
components
to
be found
on
th
is machine are used
for beaded seams with or without cord insert (larger needle
distance) as well as
the
alternative
of
a single
or
triple needle
holder for single
or
triple needle seams. Single
or
triple needle
holder
on
request.
Sub-class
104-4102
S
The sewing components
to
be found
on
this machine fig. 7 are
designed
for
beaded seams without cord insert (smaller needle
distance). By changing the sewing components,
the
machine
~an also be adjusted for sewing beaded seams
without
cord
insert with incision as well as for single needle coarse stitch
work.
For
the
given needle width, use also
the
needle holder which
corresponds
to
it
(for this there are 3 size groups) and note
the
following few points:

Bead seam (without use
of
scoring knife), fig. 3
Use
the
sewing components forming part
of
the
machine.
When stitching narrow curves and points make sure
to
let
the
left needle enter
the
same hole twice
at
lefthand corners and
to
turn
the
material by 45° every time.
This instruction applies
to
righthand corners accordingly.
Bead seam (with use
of
scoring knife), fig. 4,
on
request,
at
an extra charge.
Use
the
welting presser
foot
with scoring knife. The scoring
knife, which
is
merely clamped
on,
must
be
adjusted
at
a
height
to
fit the presser
foot;
t he leather should merely be
scored
but
not
cut
through.
Adjust
the
scoring knife
as
follows:
Slacken
the
lateral knife holder screw. The knife
is
merely
clamped
on
. Adjust
the
height of_
the
scoring knife. Tighten
th
e screw again.

Replace
the
twin needle holder according
to
the
instructions
given
in
the
section 'Replacing the needle holder' by a single
needle holder supplied
at
an extra charge,
on
request. Proceed
to
sew in the us
ual
way.
