Function Description:

The AEG A18F10FN and A18F10FNNZ are nailers designed to drive nails into soft materials such as wood. They are intended for framing applications and are not suitable for fixing electrical cables. The tools feature a jam-clearing mechanism, depth-of-drive adjustment, and a no-mar pad for delicate surfaces. The A18F10FN model includes a trigger mode selector, offering different firing modes. The nailer operates on an 18V battery system and utilizes a rear-loading magazine for fasteners. An LED light is integrated for improved visibility of the work area. The tool is designed for single-hand use, emphasizing safety and control during operation.

Usage Features:

Battery Insertion/Removal: Battery packs are inserted into the battery port until they click into place and removed by pressing the release button. It is crucial to remove the battery pack before any work on the machine.
Battery Charge Indicator: The battery pack features an indicator to show the remaining charge (78-100%, 55-77%, 33-54%, 10-32%, <10%).
Nail Loading: Nails are loaded into the rear-loading magazine. The manual provides clear steps for proper nail insertion.
Activation: The nailer is activated by squeezing the grip switch. An LED light on the rear base of the nailer will glow green once activated.
Depth-of-Drive Adjustment: The depth-of-drive can be adjusted to suit the application. It is recommended to test the depth on a scrap workpiece.
No-Mar Pad: A no-mar pad can be used for straight nailing applications where surface marks are unwanted. It should be removed for skew nailing and general framing.
Trigger Mode Selector (A18F10FN only): This model allows selection between different firing modes, including a bump fire feature. The A18F10FNNZ model does not have the bump fire feature.
Jam Clearing: In case of a jam, the product automatically enters a jam mode, and the LED flashes red. The battery pack must be removed, and the jammed fastener cleared using the provided hex key and pliers. The magazine may need to be removed for severe jams.
Air Pressure Tank Refill: After initial use, if performance decreases, the air pressure tank can be refilled to 125 psi using an inflator/air compressor compatible with a Schrader Valve. A safety overflow valve prevents overfilling.
Safety Warnings: Emphasizes not pointing the tool at oneself or others, ensuring firm contact with the workpiece, disconnecting the power source when clearing jams, and using caution when removing jammed fasteners. It also warns against using the tool for electrical cables and stresses the importance of wearing ear protectors.

Maintenance Features:

Battery Pack Storage: For storage longer than 30 days, battery packs should be stored below 27°C, in a 30-50% charged condition, and recharged every six months.
Ventilation Slots: Ventilation slots must be kept clear at all times.
Daily Maintenance: Clean the body and blow out tool vents, clean the magazine rack, check bolts/screws for looseness, and lubricate the nosepiece with air tool oil (synthetic lightweight oil).
Monthly Maintenance (5-7 boxes of nails / 15000-21000 nails): Perform daily maintenance tasks.
2-4 Months Maintenance (10-20 boxes of nails / 30000-60000 nails): Check the pressure of the tank and re-pressurize if necessary.
6-12 Months Maintenance (21-26 boxes of nails / 65000-80000 nails): Return the tool to an Authorised Service Centre for service.
Jam Clearing Tools: A hex key is provided for clearing jams. Pliers may also be needed.
Battery Pack Protection: The battery pack has overload protection and thermal overload protection, which automatically shut down the tool to prevent damage. Individual cell monitoring ensures optimal battery life and performance.
Hard Case Storage: The product should be stored in its hard case during transport to protect it and maintain warranty validity.
