Usage Features
The freezer offers several features to enhance user experience and food preservation:
- Control Panel: A user-friendly interface with a display, temperature warmer and colder buttons, an OK button, a Mode button, and an ON/OFF button. The sound of the buttons can be changed.
- Temperature Regulation: The set temperature of the freezer can be adjusted using the temperature buttons. The default temperature is -18°C. The set temperature is reached within 24 hours and remains stored after a power failure.
- FROSTMATIC Function: This function accelerates the freezing of fresh food and protects already stored food products from warming. It deactivates automatically after 52 hours but can be manually switched off earlier. It is recommended to activate this function at least 24 hours before placing fresh food in the freezer.
- High Temperature Alarm: An acoustic and visual alarm (flashing alarm and freezer temperature indicators) signals an increase in temperature within the freezer compartment, for example, due to a power failure. The alarm can be reset by pressing any button.
- Door Open Alarm: If the door is left open for approximately 90 seconds, an acoustic alarm sounds, and the alarm indicator flashes. The alarm stops upon closing the door and can be muted by pressing any button.
- DrinksChill Function: Allows users to set an acoustic alarm for a preferred time (1 to 90 minutes) to cool food products or as a reminder for items placed in the freezer for fast cooling. The alarm sounds at the end of the countdown and can be deactivated.
- ChildLock Function: Locks the control panel buttons to prevent unintentional operation.
- Storage: The freezer drawers are designed for quick and easy access to food packages. For large quantities of food, all drawers except the bottom one can be removed to ensure good air circulation. Food can protrude up to 15 mm from the door on all shelves.
