Usage Features

The freezer features a control panel with a temperature scale, temperature key, ECO mode icon, and FROSTMATIC icon.

  • Switching On/Off: The appliance is switched on by plugging it in and touching the temperature key until all LED indicators light up. It is switched off by pressing the temperature key for 3 seconds.
  • Temperature Regulation: The temperature can be adjusted progressively from -15°C to -24°C by repeatedly pressing the temperature key. The coldest setting is -24°C, and the warmest is -15°C. The most suitable setting is ECO mode (-18°C).
  • ECO Mode: Sets the temperature to -18°C, ensuring good food preservation with minimal energy consumption. Activated by pressing the temperature key until the ECO mode icon illuminates.
  • FROSTMATIC Function: Rapidly decreases the temperature in the freezer compartment to quickly freeze fresh food. It is recommended to activate this function at least 24 hours before placing food to be frozen. The function stops automatically after 52 hours, restoring the previous temperature setting. It can also be deactivated manually.
  • Sleep Mode: The display enters sleep mode after 30 seconds of no interaction, with only the currently set temperature LED indicator illuminating in low light.
  • Door Open Alarm: Activates if the door is left open for approximately 80 seconds, indicated by a flashing temperature LED and an audible sound. It can be deactivated by closing the door or pressing the temperature key.
  • High Temperature Alarm: Activates if the temperature inside the appliance increases (e.g., due to a power failure or open door). The LED indicator flashes, and a sound is emitted. It deactivates when normal conditions are restored and can be switched off by pressing the temperature key.
  • Storage: Freezer drawers are provided for easy organization. For large quantities of food, all drawers except the bottom one can be removed to ensure good air circulation. Food can protrude up to 15 mm from the door on all shelves.
  • Cold Accumulators: The freezer contains at least one cold accumulator to extend storage time during power cuts or breakdowns.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning the Interior: Before first use, the interior and all accessories should be washed with lukewarm water and neutral soap, then dried thoroughly. Abrasive products, chlorine, or oil-based cleaners should not be used.
  • Periodic Cleaning: The appliance should be cleaned regularly. This involves cleaning the inside and accessories with lukewarm water and neutral soap, checking and wiping door seals, and rinsing and drying thoroughly.
  • Condenser and Compressor Cleaning: If accessible, the condenser and compressor at the back of the appliance should be cleaned with a brush to improve performance and save electricity.
  • Defrosting: The freezer compartment is frost-free, eliminating the need for manual defrosting.
  • Periods of Non-Operation: For long periods of non-use, the appliance should be disconnected from the electricity supply, all food removed, cleaned, and the door left open to prevent unpleasant smells.
