This document is a user manual for AEG DVK5961HB, DVK5661HB, DVE5961HB, DVE5661HB, GD5970V, and GD5670V hood models, providing instructions in multiple languages. The manual outlines the product's features, usage, and maintenance.
Function Description:
The hood is designed to extract cooking fumes and odors from the kitchen. It features a control panel with sensor fields for various operations.
- On/Off (1): Turns the hood on and off.
- Speed Settings (2, 3, 4): Allows the motor to switch between first, second, and third speed levels for varying extraction needs.
- Maximum Speed (5): Activates the motor at its highest speed for a set duration (minutes), after which it reverts to the previous speed setting. This is useful for intense cooking with high humidity.
- Filter Notification (6): Reminds the user to change or clean the charcoal filter and clean the grease filter. The indicator lights up for 30 seconds for grease filter cleaning and flashes for 30 seconds for charcoal filter replacement/cleaning.
- Lamp (7): Turns the hood lights on and off, independently of other hood functions, to illuminate the cooking surface.
Important Technical Specifications:
The manual indicates that the appliance is supplied with an LED lamp and a separate control gear (LED driver). These components can only be replaced by a technician. Specific technical data like Model, PNC, and Serial Number can be found on the rating plate, which is important for customer service.
Usage Features:
The hood's operation is managed via a sensor control panel. To activate any function, the corresponding symbol must be touched precisely in the middle for at least 1 second.
- Recommended Speed: The manual provides a table to guide users on selecting the appropriate fan speed based on cooking activity:
- Speed 1: For heating food, cooking with covered pots.
- Speed 2: For cooking with covered pots on multiple zones/burners, gentle frying.
- Speed 3: For boiling and frying large quantities of food without a lid, cooking on multiple zones/burners.
- Maximum Speed: For boiling and frying large quantities of food without a lid, especially with high humidity.
- Post-Cooking Operation: It is recommended to leave the hood running for approximately 15 minutes after cooking to ensure complete extraction of residual fumes.
- Hob²Hood Function: This is an automatic function that connects the hob with the hood using infrared signals. The fan speed is automatically adjusted based on the hob's mode setting and the temperature of the hottest cookware. Users can also manually control the fan from the hob's panel. More details on this function are available in the hob's user manual.
- Filter Notification Reset: The filter notification can be reset by touching the corresponding symbol for 3 seconds.
- Activating/Deactivating Filter Function: The filter notification function can be activated or deactivated by holding its symbol for 3 seconds. When activated, the filter icon flashes five times; when deactivated, it lights up for 4 seconds.
