Overview

This document describes the AEG F87782M0P dishwasher, an appliance designed for household use to clean crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans. It emphasizes safety, efficient operation, and proper maintenance to ensure long-lasting performance.

Function Description

The AEG F87782M0P is a dishwasher with a capacity for 15 place settings, offering various programs and options to suit different types and degrees of soil. It features a TimeBeam display that projects information onto the floor, showing program duration, completion status, delay start countdown, and alarm codes in case of malfunction. The appliance includes top, upper, and lower spray arms for thorough cleaning, along with filters, a rating plate, and an air vent. Detergent and rinse aid dispensers are integrated for automatic release during the wash cycle.

The dishwasher offers several programs:

  • ECO (P1): The standard program for normally soiled crockery and cutlery, optimized for efficient water and energy consumption.
  • AUTO SENSE (P2): Automatically adjusts temperature, water quantity, energy consumption, and program duration based on the degree of soil and load quantity.
  • PROZONE (P3): Suitable for mixed loads with very heavy soil in the lower basket and normal soil in the upper basket, featuring higher water pressure and temperature in the lower basket.
  • PRO (P4): Designed for heavily soiled crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans, incorporating a high-temperature rinsing phase for enhanced hygiene.
  • P5: For normal or light soil on delicate crockery and glassware.
  • Quick 30MIN (P7): A short program for fresh soil, providing good washing results quickly.
  • P8: A quick rinse program to prevent food remains from bonding and odors from forming; no detergent is used.
  • Extra SILENT (P9): The quietest program, operating at a very low pump speed, resulting in a longer duration.

Usage Features

The dishwasher is activated by pressing the on/off button. Users can select programs using the Program touchpad and customize cycles with options like TimeSaver, XtraDry, and ProBoost.

  • TimeSaver: Reduces total program duration by approximately 50% by increasing water pressure and temperature, though drying results may decrease.
  • XtraDry: Boosts drying performance, potentially affecting program duration, water consumption, and the last rinse temperature. This option is not permanent and must be selected for each cycle.
  • ProBoost: Increases water pressure during prewash and washing phases, ideal for heavily soiled loads.

The appliance includes a MyFavourite function, allowing users to save their most frequently used program and options for quick selection. A delay start function can be set from 1 to 24 hours. The Auto Off function automatically deactivates the appliance after 5 minutes of inactivity or program completion to save energy.

For optimal results, users are advised to:

  • Remove large food residues before loading.
  • Avoid pre-rinsing dishes by hand.
  • Load baskets fully, ensuring items do not obstruct spray arms.
  • Place hollow items face down.
  • Ensure glasses do not touch each other.
  • Put cutlery and small items in the cutlery drawer.
  • Load light items in the upper basket securely.
  • Check that spray arms can move freely before starting a program.

The rinse aid dispenser helps in drying dishes without streaks and stains. The quantity of rinse aid released can be adjusted from level 1 to 6, or deactivated (level 0). The appliance notifies the user when the rinse aid chamber is empty. While multi-tablets with rinse aid can be used, separate rinse aid is recommended for best drying performance.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the dishwasher's performance and longevity.

  • Filter Cleaning: The filter system, consisting of three parts (flat filter, main filter, and microfilter), should be cleaned regularly. This involves turning and removing the main filter, then separating and washing all parts under running water. Proper reassembly is essential to avoid poor washing results.
  • Spray Arm Cleaning: The holes in the spray arms can become clogged. Users should remove any soil particles with a thin pointed object. The upper spray arm can be disengaged from the basket for easier cleaning.
  • External Cleaning: The exterior should be cleaned with a moist soft cloth and neutral detergents. Abrasive products, cleaning pads, or solvents should not be used.
  • Internal Cleaning: The interior, including the rubber gasket of the door, should be cleaned with a soft damp cloth. To prevent grease and limescale deposits, especially with frequent use of short programs, it is recommended to run long-duration programs at least twice a month or use a specific dishwasher cleaning product monthly.

Before any maintenance, the appliance must be deactivated and disconnected from the mains supply. The water inlet hose should be checked annually for deterioration. The manual also provides troubleshooting steps for common issues, such as the appliance not starting, not filling with water, or poor washing/drying results, often linked to filter cleanliness, spray arm blockages, or incorrect loading.
