Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance and longevity of the appliance:
- Internal Cleaning: Clean the interior with a soft damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products, sharp tools, strong chemicals, scourers, or solvents. Wipe the door, including the rubber gasket, weekly. Use a dishwasher cleaning product every two months, or run the automatic cleaning programme.
- Filter Cleaning: The filter system consists of three parts. Disassemble and clean them manually. Incorrect filter position can lead to poor washing results and appliance damage.
- Spray Arm Cleaning: Regularly clean the lower and upper spray arms to prevent clogging. Remove the spray arms and wash them under running water, using a thin pointed tool (e.g., a toothpick) to remove soil particles from the holes.
- Salt Container: Ensure the cap is tight.
- Water Tap: Ensure it is open and not clogged.
- Inlet Hose: Ensure it is not clogged and has no kinks or bends.
- Sink Spigot: Ensure it is not clogged.
- Drain Hose: Ensure it has no kinks or bends.
The manual also provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for various problems and alarm codes, advising users to check common issues before contacting an Authorised Service Centre. It emphasizes that improper repairs can be dangerous and should only be performed by qualified personnel.
