Next to the activation of VMS, it is recommended for the users to maintain a record or fill in an "Activity
log" (paper or electronic) specifically for each panel, in order to track:
 the model of the VMS, with its product code and serial number (deduced from the CE nameplate);
 the dates of installation, activation, testing and any other event;
 the details of any preventive maintenance work, along with date and result;
 the details of any corrective maintenance work, along with date, result and replaced spare parts
(with the corresponding serial number – if present);
 Any significant event or element of risk which requires a future evaluation.
Note: after finishing the installation activities, the owner of the VMS must run
preventive maintenance as described in chapter 6 "PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE";
otherwise the warranty is declared void.
