Safety

Risk of Injury

Never allow children to handle the sweeper; never allow anyone to ride on it.

Operation

Attaching the Sweeper to Tow Vehicle

Park on flat ground, attach to tractor hitch, ensure drawbar is level.

Setting the Brush Height

Best results achieved when brushes penetrate grass to 1/2" (1.5 cm).

Emptying the Grass Bag

Stop towing vehicle, turn off engine, empty bag by pulling the rope.

Using the Offset Hitch

Loosen drawbar bracket, slide drawbar left/right, tighten bracket.

Using the Transport Feature

Use for moving across pavement. Empty bag, move height to 'T', limit speed to 6 mph.

Maintenance

Wheel Bearings Lubrication

Lubricate wheel bearings once per season. Remove hub cap and apply light oil.

Brush Axle Lubrication

Lubricate brush axle at beginning and end of season.

Drive Gears Cleaning and Greasing

Clean and grease drive gears every two years. Remove hub cap, bolt, washer, wheel, spacer, nut.

Service

Replace the Brushes

Loosen simple retainers, note bristle overlap, slide brush out, install new brush.

Wheel Gear and Pawl Service

Replace wheel gear and pawl components. Ensure drive pin moves freely.
