2.18.1.3 Faults and solutions of rear axle and brake
Symptom Reason Solutions
1. The main drive has large
noise.
1. The
bearing clearance of bevel
pinion is too large.
2. The gear fails to engage normally.
3. The bearing or gear of bevel gear
pair is damaged.
4. The differential shaft is worn or
locked.
5. The planet gear or washer is worn.
6. The differential bearing is worn or
damaged.
1. Adjust it as required.
2. Readjust it as required.
3. Replace the bearing or gear.
4. Replace the differential shaft.
5. Replace the planet gear or washer.
6. Replace the differential bearing.
2. The
bearings of bevel
pinion and differential are
too hot.
1. The
pretightening force is too
large.
2. The lubrication is poor.
3. The backlash of bevel gear pair is
too small.
1. Readjust
the pretightening force of
bearing.
2. Check the lubrication oil level, and refill
it when insufficient.
3. Readjust the backlash.
3. The
final drive has
abnormal sound.
1. The bolts of planet carrier are
loose, and the retaining washer is
damaged.
2. The
bearing, gear or shaft is
damaged.
1. Fasten the fixing bolts of planet carrier
as required, and replace the retaining
washer.
2. Replace the bearing, gear or shaft.
4. The brake is in failure.
1. The free travel of brake pedal is
too large.
2. The friction plate is worn severely
or partly.
1. Readjust the free travel of pedal.
2. Replace the friction plate.
5. The tractor wanders when
braking.
1. The
free travel of left and right
brake pedal is different.
2. The braking friction place at one
side is damaged.
3. The air pressure of two rear tires is
different.
1. Adjust it.
2. Replace the friction plate.
3. Check it and charge the tire as required.
