Overview

This document describes the AIR COOLER JH-310Y, a fan designed to provide cooling and humidification.

Function Description

The AIR COOLER JH-310Y operates as an air cooler, offering three fan speeds (Low, Medium, High) and two fan modes (Normal and Natural). It includes both vertical and horizontal swing functions to distribute air effectively. A key feature is its cooling system, which can be activated to provide a humidifying effect. The device can be filled with water manually or continuously using a garden hose connected to an adapter. For enhanced cooling, ice boxes can be used in conjunction with the water. The unit is controlled via a panel on the device itself or through a remote control. It also features a timer function, allowing users to set operation for up to 12 hours.

Usage Features

Operation: The unit should be placed on a firm, level surface and plugged into a socket. The power indicator light signals standby mode. Pressing the ON/OFF button turns the air cooler on (defaulting to low speed) or off.

Fan Speed and Mode: The "Speed" button cycles through Low, Medium, and High fan speeds. The "Mode" button switches between Normal and Natural fan modes.

Swing Function: The "Swing" button controls the left and right oscillation of the fan. Pressing it once activates the swing, and pressing it again stops it.

Timer: The "Timer" button allows setting an operational timer for up to 12 hours.

Cooling System: The "Cooling" button activates or deactivates the cooling system. It is crucial not to open the cooling system when the water tank is empty. If the tank is empty, the icon will flash, a buzzer will sound for about 10 seconds, and the pump switch will automatically cut off.

Water Filling:

  1. Manual Fill: Open the upper flip cover and slowly add clean tap water. Monitor the water level through the water level window, ensuring it exceeds the minimum level ("Min"). Unplug the unit before adding water and avoid splashing water into the motor.
  2. Continuous Fill: Install the provided adapter to the automatic water inlet on the back of the product. Screw a garden hose into the other end of the adapter and turn on the faucet. An internal control device will maintain the maximum water level. If leaks occur, use water pipe sealing tape on the connections.

Ice Box Usage: For first-time use, fill the ice box with water up to the scale, tighten the lid, and let it sit for 30-40 minutes until the water and ice crystals mix. Then, place the ice box in a freezer for two hours. Once frozen, place it in the air cooler's ice container to cool the water. Used ice boxes, where the ice crystal turns into jelly, can be refrozen and reused.

Remote Control: The remote control requires the plastic insulating film to be removed before first use. It must be pointed directly at the receiver on the fan for optimal operation. Avoid blocking the line of sight and handle the remote control with care. To replace the battery, open the compartment on the back and insert a new CR2025 battery. Dispose of used batteries at a household hazardous waste collection site.

Safety Precautions:

  • Do not use with other speed control devices.
  • Do not immerse the motor body in water or rinse under a tap.
  • Only use as described in the manual to prevent fire or electric shock.
  • Unplug the fan when not in use, before moving, or cleaning.
  • Do not tilt or collide the machine after adding water to prevent overflow.
  • Avoid placing the machine in high or ultra-low temperatures.
  • Change water regularly, especially in warm weather, to prevent deterioration.
  • Before packing for storage, run the fan with normal air to dry the evaporator and prevent humidity odors.
  • If used in a closed environment, turn off the cold air function due to strong humidification.
  • Add water promptly when below the lowest water line.
  • Do not operate near explosive or flammable fumes.
  • Avoid contact with moving parts.
  • Always grip the plug to disconnect from the wall outlet, never pull the cord.
  • Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug; discard or return to an authorized service facility.
  • Avoid placing the cord in walking areas to prevent tripping.
  • Not for use by children or persons with reduced capabilities unless supervised.
  • Children should not play with the appliance.
  • Do not leave the fan running unattended.
  • Disconnect from power supply before removing the protective cover.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning and Maintenance: Regular cleaning is essential to maintain airflow and air purification, as dust accumulation on the wet curtain can affect performance.

  1. Clean the Wet Curtain:

    • Turn off the power.
    • Loosen screws in the back-cover plate and remove it along with the wet curtain.
    • Clean the wet curtain with a soft brush and mild detergent, rinse with water, and dry it in the sunshine.
    • Reinstall the wet curtain and back-cover plate.
    • If dirt is difficult to remove after long-term use, replace the wet curtain.
  2. Clean the Surface:

    • Turn off the power.
    • Clean the surface with a mild detergent and a soft cloth.
    • NOTE: The control panel must not come into contact with water.

Storage & Maintenance Guidelines:

  1. Always unplug the power cord before cleaning.
  2. Clean plastic parts with mild soap and a damp cloth; do not submerge the unit in water.
  3. Ensure no water or liquid enters the fan's motor.
  4. Dry all parts completely before reassembling and reconnecting to power.
  5. Store the fan in a cool, dry place when not in use. Use original packaging to repack the unit to prevent dust and dirt buildup.
  6. Empty the water tank if the unit will not be used for a long time. Rotate and pull out the silicone plug of the water outlet, tilt the body, and completely empty the water tank. The machine should be drained and cleaned regularly.

Troubleshooting: The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the product not working, bad cooling effects, water pump not working, remote control malfunction, and lack of accessories, along with corresponding solutions. For example, if the product is not working, solutions include checking the power cord connection or contacting customer service. If the water pump isn't working, check the water level or activate cooling mode.

Warranty: AIR CHOICE offers a ONE (1) YEAR warranty from the purchase date against defects in materials and/or workmanship under normal use. During the warranty period, AIR CHOICE will repair, replace, or provide store credit for defective products. The warranty does not cover damage from improper use, accidents, abuse, unauthorized service, use of non-approved accessories, modifications, consumable parts (like batteries or light bulbs), "as is" products, or commercial use.
