b) Before servicing or cleaning the unit, switch power off at service
panel and lock the service disconnecting means to prevent power
from being switched on accidentally. When the service disconnecting
means cannot be locked, securely fasten a prominent warning
device, such as a tag, to the service panel.
WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK
OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK AND INJURY TO
PERSON, OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING:
a) Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by qualified
person(s) in accordance with all applicable codes and standards,
including fire-related construction.
b) Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of
gases through the flue (chimney) of fuel burning equipment to prevent
back drafting. Follow the heating equipment manufacturer’s guideline
and safety standards such as those published by the National Fire
Protection Association (NFPA) and the American Society for Heating,
Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the local
code authorities.

ON THE AIR FLOW, NOISE AND ENERGY USE OF THE FAN. USE
THE SHORTEST, STRAIGHTEST DUCT ROUTING POSSIBLE FOR
BEST PERFORMANCE, AND AVOID INSTALLING THE FAN WITH
SMALLER DUCTS THAN RECOMMENDED. INSULATION AROUND
THE DUCTS CAN REDUCE ENERGY LOSS AND INHIBIT MOLD
GROWTH. FANS INSTALLED WITH EXISTING DUCTS MAY NOT
ACHIEVE THEIR RATED AIRFLOW.

What to do if AirKing Fan air moves slower than normal?
    • C
      Carl Morris MDJul 28, 2025
If your AirKing Fan is running but the airflow is weaker than it should be, there might be something blocking the exhaust ducting. Check the ducting for obstructions, with bird nests in the roof or wall cap being the most common culprits.

What to do if my AirKing Fan does not operate when the switch is on?
    • R
      Ruben WoodAug 7, 2025
If your AirKing Fan isn't working when switched on, several factors could be at play. First, a fuse might be blown, or a circuit breaker tripped; in this case, replace the fuse or reset the breaker. Another possibility is that the connector plug from the motor isn't properly connected. To resolve this, turn off the power, remove the grill, plug the motor into the receptacle in the housing, and then restore power. Also, the wiring might not be correctly connected, so ensure all wires are securely attached after turning off the power. Finally, the motor itself might have stopped working, requiring a replacement.

Why is my AirKing Fan operating louder than normal?
    • J
      Justin McbrideAug 16, 2025
If your AirKing Fan is making more noise than usual, the motor might be loose. To fix this, turn off the power, remove the grill, and check that all screws are fully tightened, then restore power. Another cause could be that the fan blade is hitting the unit's housing, in which case you should call your dealer for service.
