4. Screen%Test%
o Press%each%screen%color%button%and%confirm%the%color%on%the%ADVANCE%
screen%matches%the%color%displayed.%If%this%passes%visual%inspection,%
press%the%Pass%button%on%the%test%app.%
o You%can%use%the%number%keys%(%1%–%8%)%as%shortcuts%for%changing%the%
screen%color%
5. Pad%Color%Test%
o Press%each%Pad%color%button%and%confirm%the%color%on%the%ADVANCE%
pads%match%the%color%displayed.%If%passes%visual%inspection,%press%the%
Pass%button%on%the%test%app.%
6. Keybed%Test%
o Press%All%the%keys.%Every%key%press%that%has%been%detected%will%have%a%
corresponding%green%key%on%the%computer%screen.%
7. Keybed%Aftertouch%
o Press%and%key%and%push%down.%%You%can%see%the%respond%on%the%test%
screen%just%under%the%Keybed%display.%Once%the%slider% ha s%reached%
maximum%release%the%key.%It%should%turn%Green%if%it%has%reached%
maximum%pressure.%
8. Switches%Test%
o Press%all%of%the%buttons.%It%is%important%that%when%testing%the%transport%
buttons,%you%move%from%left%to%right.%%It%is%recommended%that%you%test%
all%the%buttons%in%a%Top%left%to%bottom%right%fashion.%
o Remember:%encoder%has%a%push%button.%
9. Wheel%Test%
o Move%the%Pitch%wheel%to%minimum%followed%by%maximum%position.%
o Move%the%Mod%wheel%to%minimum%followed%by%maximum%position.%
! Both%wheel%displays%on%the%computer%screen%will%turn%green%
when%minimum%and%maximums%have%been%detected.%
10. Sustain%and%Expression%Jack%Test%
o Press%the%connected%Sustain%pedal.%%
o Move%the%expression%pedal%to%minimum%followed%by%maximum%
position.%
! Both%expression%pedal%and%sustain%pedal%indicators%on%screen%
will%turn%green%upon%passing%these%tests.%
11. Encoder%Tests%
o Move%the%encoders%to%the%Left%until%the%test%app%display%shows%that%it%
has%hit%the%maximum%position.%Turn%the%encoders%to%the%right%until%the%
test%app%displays%show%that%it%has%hit%the%minimum%position.%The%
encoder%will%turn%green%if%minimum%and%maximums%have%been%
detected.%
o It%is%important%that%you%move%from%left%to%right.%If%the%test%app%detects%
that%the%encoder%has%moved%to%the%right%before%the%left,%It%will%not%pass%
the%test,%as%it%will%assume%the%encoder%has%been%installed%backwards.%
