HOW
TO
USE
LINE
OUTPUT
CONTROL
Confirm
that
connections
conform
to
the
“BASIC
CON-
NECTIONS”’.
This
machine
is
equipped
with
a
variable
output
control
that
enables
the
line
output
to
be
varied
from
0
up
toa
maximum
level
of
0.775V
(during
OVU).
When
an
external
amplifier
is
employed,
it is
necessary
to
match
the
line
output
level
of
the
deck
with
the
line
input
level
of
the
external
amplifier.
Consider
the
standard
volume
of
the
amplifier
to
be
the
volume
at
which
one
ordinarily
listens
to
FM
broadcasts
of
a
receiver
or
a
tuner,
and
keep
the
volume
control
at
this
position.
Then
position
the
Monitor
Switch
of
the
external
amplifier
to
TAPE.
If
the
Line
Output
of
this
deck
is
inappropriate,
the
volume
may
change
vastly
when
the
switch
is
changed.
If
this
should
be
the
case,
the
Line
Output
Control
of
this
deck
is
to
be
adjusted
(with
the
Monitor
Switch
positioned
to
TAPE)
so
that
the
volume
when
the
switch
is
positioned
to
TAPE
is
equal
to
that
when
positioned
to
SOURCE.
