Cleaning and maintenance
Risk of injury!
There is a risk of serious injuries if the scarifier is handled incorrectly.
• Switch off the scarifier and pull the power plug out of the power
socket before you start any cleaning work.
• Wear suitable protective gloves when you work with the scarifier.
Risk of short-circuiting!
Water or other liquids inside the housing could cause a short-circuit.
− The power plug must always be pulled out of the socket outlet
before starting any cleaning or maintenance work.
− Never immerse the scarifier in water or other liquids.
− Do not use a high-pressure cleaner to clean the scarifier.
− Make sure that no water or other liquids get into the housing.
Risk of damage!
Incorrect or irregular cleaning and maintenance could result in dam-
age to the scarifier.
− Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of
dirt and dust as far as possible.
− Clean the scarifier each time after using it.
− To avoid damaging its surfaces do not use aggressive cleaning
products, brushes with metal or nylon bristles, and sharp or me-
tallic cleaning implements such as knives, hard spatulas or similar.
