It
is
possible
to
produce
many
interesting
'free-style'
patterns
on
all
Models
in
this
Range,
all
that
is
needed
is a
little
practice.
With
Model
833
a
wider
range
can
be
achieved
(see
page
171
because
of
its
Three
Needle
Positions.
Ensure
zig-zag
presser
foot
and
zig-zag
needle
plate
are
in place.
The
satin
stitch,
Fig.
24,
which
is
really
just
a
very
close
zig-zag
stitch
and
the
basis
for
most
embroidery,
is
obtained
by
setting
the
stitch
length
as
near
0
as
possible
without
stopping
the
feeding
action.-
The
stitch-width
may
be
set
anywhere
from
just
past
0 to
the
widest

With
the
Machine
set
for
a
short
stitch
length,
different
designs
can
be
made
by
swinging
the
stitch
width
or
zig-zag
lever
back
and
forth
between
0
and
5
or
any
other
combination
of
widths.
Try
setting
the
locks
at
1
and
5,
2
and
3
etc.
Set
a
rhythm
for
yourself
and
then
proceed.
After
a
while
you
will
become
skillful,
varying
your
designs
by
the
speed
of
the
machine,
stitch
length
and
width
and
manipulation
of
the
lever.
