POWER Indicator is green when the unit is powered on. When the unit is o, the LED is red if power is available.
HDD HDD indicator blinks red when data is being read from or written to an HDD.
TX/RX Blinks green when the network connection is functioning normally.

Overview

This document describes the ALIBI™ ALI-NVR3304P, ALIBI™ ALI-NVR3308P, ALIBI™ ALIBI-NVR3316P Embedded Network Video Recorders. These devices are designed for recording and managing video surveillance footage.

Function Description

The ALIBI NVRs are embedded network video recorders that provide a comprehensive solution for video surveillance. They are designed to record and manage video streams from IP cameras. The devices support various recording modes, including continuous, schedule, event, motion detection, and alarm. They offer real-time viewing, playback, and backup capabilities. The NVRs are equipped with multiple ports for connectivity, including Ethernet, USB, and HDMI/VGA for video output. They also feature audio input/output for comprehensive surveillance.

Usage Features

Front Panel Indicators:

  • POWER: Indicates the device is powered on.
  • HDD: Indicates HDD activity (red when data is being read/written, green when idle).
  • TX/RX: Blinks to show network activity.

Rear Panel Connectivity:

  • Audio In/Out: RCA connectors for audio input and line output.

Installation and Setup:

  • HDD Installation: The NVRs support internal SATA HDDs. Installation involves removing the top cover, connecting SATA power and data cables, and securing the HDD with screws. Specific instructions are provided for single and dual HDD configurations.
  • Initial Setup Wizard: A wizard guides users through the initial configuration, including setting a strong administrator password, time zone, network settings (DHCP or static IP), and HDD initialization.
  • Camera Installation: IP cameras can be connected directly to the NVR's PoE ports or to a network switch. The NVR automatically detects and adds cameras.
