Overview

This document is a user manual for an Alien E-Bike, providing comprehensive information on its assembly, operation, maintenance, and warranty.

Function Description:

The Alien E-Bike is an electric bicycle designed for ease, luxury, and mobility. It offers an environmentally friendly alternative to gas-powered vehicles, aiming to provide an enjoyable riding experience with pedal-assist modes and multiple gears. The E-bike can be used for various purposes, including commuting and recreational riding, with features designed to enhance safety and comfort.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Tire Pressure: Recommended 18-25 psi (check side of tire for exact specification).
  • Battery: Rechargeable, with a charging time of 3 to 7 hours for a full charge. The charger has a red LED for charging and a green LED for fully charged.
  • Gears: Equipped with multiple gears for different speeds and power. The rear wheel typically has 7 or 9 chain sprockets, depending on the model. Some models may have a front derailleur with one or three gears.
  • Pedal Assist System (PAS): Offers 5 modes:
    • PAS 0: Full display, no throttle or power assistance (some models may not have a 0 mode).
    • PAS 1: Low speed level.
    • PAS 2: Low/Medium speed level.
    • PAS 3: Medium/High speed level.
    • PAS 4: High speed level.
    • PAS 5: Maximum speed level.
  • Brakes: Equipped with brake levers that have a built-in safety switch to automatically cut off motor power under normal braking conditions. Disc brakes are used.
  • Battery Range: Standard battery lasts about 40-60 km depending on factors like pedal assist level, terrain, rider weight, temperature, and tire pressure.
  • Motor: The motor is protected by a built-in safety switch that cuts off power when brakes are applied.

Usage Features:

  • Power On/Off: To turn on, turn the ignition key to the right and hold the middle button (or bottom button on some models) for 2 seconds until the display powers up.
  • Handlebar Controls:
    • Left Handlebar: Rear brake lever, left handlebar grip, headlight button, phone holder, pedal assist button (selects modes 1-5), front derailleur shifter (if applicable, for 1 or 3 gears).
    • Right Handlebar: Rear derailleur shifter (increases gears from 1 to 7 by pressing a button, decreases gears from 7 to 1 by pressing a lever), brake lever, LCD display, anti-slip handlebar, right handlebar grip, ignition key.
  • Folding Frame: The E-bike features a folding frame for portability and storage. To fold, push the release latch forward while pulling the folding clasp.
  • Battery Removal: The battery can be removed for charging or for Y20 models, turn the key and remove the battery.
  • Pedal & Saddle Adjustment: Pedals are labeled L (left) and R (right) and screw into the crank. The saddle height can be adjusted, ensuring the minimum safety line is not visible.
  • Headlight & Front Wheel Assembly: The headlight can be adjusted, and the front wheel is secured with a quick-release mechanism.
  • Keys: Comes with one or two keys (plus one spare). The key is used for ignition and for the battery holder on the bicycle frame. Keep keys out of reach of children and in a safe place to avoid losing them.
