  If your Allied Healthcare Medical Equipment pump runs but there is no suction, first check all the tubing to ensure that vacuum lines are connected. Also, verify that the bacteria filter isn't clogged and replace it if necessary. Make sure the collection unit isn't full; empty or replace it if it is. If none of these steps work, the pump may be defective and need replacement.

  If you're experiencing low suction with your Allied Healthcare Medical Equipment, start by checking all connections to ensure the bottle cap and tubing are tight. Inspect the vacuum line for cracks or leaks and replace it if needed. A clogged bacteria filter can also cause low suction, so replace it if necessary. For Gauge/Regulator versions, a leaking vacuum regulator could be the culprit; try cleaning or replacing the needle.
