TRACTORS WITH 3 SPEED TRANSMISSION
In addition to the 4 adjustment just given that are
common to all Series 4CX) tractors, the tractors that are
equipped with standard 3 speed transmission have the
following additional adjustments:
1. Adjust jam nuts on rear end of brake rod so that
when foot clutch brake pedal is pushed firmly
forward clutch arm will stop with its forward edge
5/8 inch to rear.of rear corner of bevel gear box
(See Figure 22).
2. Loosen jam nut on parking brake rod and turn lever
and rod end on parking brake rod so that brake is
tight when parking brake lever is pulled up vertically
as shown in Figure 23. Tighten jam. nut against rod
end.
