Why won't my Allis-Chalmers Lawn Mower engine turn over?
- MMark CunninghamAug 12, 2025
If your Allis-Chalmers Lawn Mower engine won't turn over or start, make sure the brake pedal is fully depressed, the PTO (electric clutch) switch is in the OFF position, and the cruise control is in the NEUTRAL/OFF position. Also, check if you are out of fuel. If the engine is hot, allow it to cool before refilling the fuel tank. If the engine is flooded, disengage the choke. Other potential causes include a blown fuse (see authorized dealer), discharged or dead battery (recharge or replace), loose or broken wiring (visually check, see authorized dealer if frayed or broken), or faulty solenoid, starter motor, safety interlock switch, water in fuel, or old/stale gas (see authorized dealer).
