Press and hold Eject for 3 seconds to toggle subwoofer On/Off. Initial mode is SUBW OFF.

Use MODE knob to adjust Volume, Bass, Treble, Balance, and Fader. Settings are memorized per source.

Set bass control center frequency at 60, 70, 80, or 100 Hz using INTLZ and UP/DN buttons.

Sound Feedback Settings

Sound (Beep) Guide Function

Provides audible feedback with varying tones for button presses. Can be turned On or Off.

Lighting Color Adjustment

Change display lighting color between AMBER OFF (green) and AMBER ON (amber) using TUNE button.

Dimmer Control

Set DIM to AUTO to decrease illumination brightness when headlights are ON.

BBE Mode Selection

Turn BBE mode on/off by pressing MODE for 2 seconds. Adjust level from +1 to +6.

Enable/disable mute mode for interrupt signals from connected devices using INTLZ and TUNE buttons.

Demonstration Mode

Activating and Exiting Demonstration Mode

Activate DEMO mode by holding DEMO button for 3 seconds. Exit by holding DEMO button again.

Blackout Mode Operation

Blackout Mode On and Off

Turn Blackout mode on/off by holding BLACK OUT button for 2 seconds. Turns off display, enhances sound.

Press CLK button repeatedly to display the clock time. Toggles between modes: Normal, Clock Priority, Station Title.

Hold CLK for 3 seconds, then use MODE knob to adjust hours and minutes. Auto-sets after 5 seconds.

Use SOURCE, BAND, and TUNE buttons to manually tune radio stations. SEEK modes can be disabled.

Press TUNE to illuminate DX/SEEK. Use DN/UP to seek stations. Press TUNE again to return to local mode.

Storing into Direct Access Preset Band

Manually preset up to 6 stations from any band into the D.A.P. band using FUNC, D.A.P., and BAND buttons.

D.A.P. Band Operation

Exiting D.A.P. Mode

Press the 'F' button to return to normal mode. The FUNC indicator will turn off.

Select radio mode, band, then press preset button containing desired station. Display shows band, number, frequency.

Auto Station Search While Traveling

Finds local stations while driving. Automatically searches for and stores up to 12 receivable stations.

Displays signal strength of received station during CD playback. Press T.RCL again to cancel.

Insert CD halfway, label side up. Player draws it in. Use eject button to remove CD.

Insert CD to play from first track. Press ►/II to pause playback. Press again to resume.

CD Track Navigation

Skips to start of next/previous track. Use DN to return to track start, UP to advance.

Fast Forward and Backward

Quickly move backward or forward through the track. Hold DN or UP buttons.

CD Repeat Playback

Repeat Play Function

Repeats current track or all tracks. Press RPT to repeat track or RPT ALL for all tracks.

Random Playback (M.I.X.)

M.I.X. (Random Play)

Plays tracks in random order. Indicator illuminates. Press M.I.X. again to cancel.

Program Scanning

Scanning Programs

Plays first 10 seconds of each track. Press SCAN to activate Scan mode. Press SCAN again to stop.

Wipe playing surface with a soft, clean cloth from center to edge. Use mild detergent for heavy soiling.

Troubleshooting Guide

Unit Not Functioning or Displaying

Check ignition, power lead connections, and fuses. Reset button may resolve internal micro-computer issues.

Radio Troubleshooting

Unable to Receive Stations

Check antenna connection and cable. Replace if necessary. Ensure proper grounding and length.

Seek Mode Tuning Issues

Check for weak signal area, ensure DX mode. Check antenna grounding, length, and extension.

General and CD Troubleshooting

Noisy Broadcast Reception

Check antenna length and grounding. Extend antenna fully; replace if broken.

CD Player/Shuttle Malfunction

Check operating temperature range. Allow vehicle interior to cool if unit is too hot.

CD Playback Sound Wavering

Caused by moisture condensation in CD Module. Allow about 1 hour for moisture to evaporate.

CD Insertion Problems

Ensure no disc is loaded, eject if necessary. Insert CD correctly as per manual instructions.

CD Playback Troubleshooting

Unable to Fast Forward or Backward CD

Check if CD is damaged. Eject and discard damaged CDs to prevent mechanism damage.

CD Skips Due to Vibration

Ensure unit is securely mounted. Clean disc if dirty. Replace disc if scratched.

CD Skips (No Vibration)

Disc may be dirty or scratched. Clean disc; replace damaged discs.

CD Shuttle Indications

HI TEMP Indication

Protective circuit activated due to high temperature. Indicator disappears when temperature returns to range.

CD Shuttle Malfunction

Check shuttle, eject magazine, check indication. Reinsert magazine. Consult dealer if unable to eject.

Magazine Ejection Failure

Press magazine eject button. If magazine does not eject, consult your Alpine dealer.

CD Shuttle Error Codes

ERROR - 02: Disc Jammed

Disc is jammed. Eject function may be needed. Insert empty magazine to receive disc.

NO MAGZN Indication

No magazine loaded in the CD Shuttle. Insert a magazine.

NO DISC Indication

Selected disc is not in place. Choose another disc.
