INSTALLING AND POSITIONING

Use: discontinue combustion of wood.

Local regulations
Your Altech stove must be positioned in accordance with the locally applicable (legal)
regulations including all national and European applying requirements and building
regulations. Your Altech dealer can advise you on this.
Flue
The ue must have a minimum inner diameter of 150 mm and has to meet the local and
building regulations. The draught of the ue must have a nominal value of between 10
Pa and 15 Pa. Your dealer can check this for you. It is recommended to be tted with a
suitable bypass valve. If the door of the stove is equipped with the associated closing
spring the stove has been arranged for shared chimney canals.
In case of a chimney re; close the air valve of the stove, extinguish the re in the stove
with sand or soda and warn the re brigade, try never to extinguish the re with water.
Connecting piece
The connection between the stove and the chimney must be well sealed without hindering
the smoke or making it dif cult to sweep the chimney.
