Option 1 – Add Ethernet Communication Module to New ACD Project

If the machine builder PLC is either an AB1769, there is already a pre-configured, tested, sample of
IS_1769_L32E.ACD (respectively) included in the installation package that contains the PLC
programming routines and logic ready for controlling the IS-300CR digital I/O and reading/writing
serial communication data. The machine builder can use these samples as a starting point for an .ACD
project. These sample *.ACD files are located under the IS_Series_AB_EthernetIP\RSLogix_PLC\ folder
of the installation package.
After the *.ACD project is opened, make sure that the Module IP address matches the Bus Controller IP
address which was assigned in Section II above. Double-click on the ETHERNET-MODULE ST1 as
shown below to open the Module Properties Report window and verify the IP address. If the bus
controller IP address is different than the IP Address under module properties window as shown below,
modify it to the correct IP address.
Example 1: IS_1769_L32E.ACD has the Bus Controller IP address pre-assigned with 192.168.100.1.
