How to troubleshoot an Amana Furnace that won't start and the LED has no signal?
    • R
      rmorganAug 12, 2025
If your Amana Furnace isn't working and the integrated control module's diagnostic LED isn't showing any signal, here's what to check: * Make sure the furnace is getting 115-volt and 24-volt power at the integrated control module. * Inspect the integrated control module fuse (3A) and replace it if it's blown. * If neither of those resolves the issue, the integrated control module might be faulty and need to be replaced.

What to do if my Amana Furnace circulator blower runs constantly and the LED flashes FOUR times?
    • A
      Alex NicholsAug 19, 2025
If the circulator blower in your Amana furnace is running continuously, but the furnace isn't operating, and the diagnostic LED is flashing four times, it suggests the primary limit circuit is open. You should check the primary limit and replace it if necessary. This issue can also be caused by a faulty primary limit switch. Also, check filters and ductwork for any blockages and clean filters or remove any obstructions. Insufficient conditioned air flowing over the heat exchanger, caused by blocked filters, restrictive ductwork, incorrect circulator blower speed, or a failed circulator blower could be the reason. Check the circulator blower speed and performance. Correct the speed or replace the blower if needed.

Why is my Amana Furnace induced draft blower running continuously and the LED is flashing THREE times?
    • J
      Joel CastanedaAug 23, 2025
If the induced draft blower runs continuously, but the Amana furnace doesn't operate, and the integrated control module's LED flashes three times, it means the pressure switch circuit isn't closed. Inspect the pressure switch hose and repair it if necessary. You should also inspect the flue for any blockages, check that it has the correct length, elbows, and termination. Correct any issues found.

What causes an Amana GMES80 to fail and the LED to flash continuously?
    • Y
      ymorenoAug 27, 2025
If your Amana Furnace won't start and the integrated control module diagnostic LED is flashing continuously, it could be due to reversed polarity in the 115 or 24-volt power supply. Review the wiring diagram to correct the polarity. It is also possible that the polarity of the 115-volt AC power to the furnace or integrated control module is reversed. Reverse the orange and gray wires going to the transformer. A poor unit ground could also cause this issue. Verify that the unit is properly grounded and correct it if necessary.

What does it mean when my Amana Furnace LED is flashing TWO times?
    • R
      Robert MooreAug 31, 2025
If your Amana Furnace isn't working and the integrated control module diagnostic LED is flashing twice, it indicates that the pressure switch circuit is closed. Replace the induced draft blower pressure switch. It could also mean that the induced draft blower isn't working; in this case, repair the short.

Why does my Amana GMES80 Furnace circulator blower run constantly and the LED flashes SIX times?
    • W
      William DavisSep 3, 2025
If the circulator blower in your Amana furnace runs continuously, the furnace doesn't operate, and the integrated control module diagnostic LED flashes six times, it indicates the rollout limit circuit is open. Check the burners for proper alignment. It could also indicate flame rollout. Check the flue and air inlet piping for blockages, proper length, elbows, and termination, and correct as necessary. Misaligned burners, a blocked flue and/or air inlet pipe, or a failed induced draft blower could be the reason. Check the rollout limit and replace it if necessary.

Why are the induced draft and circulation blower running constantly on my Amana GMES80?
    • B
      Brenda HarrisSep 7, 2025
If the induced draft blower and circulation blower run continuously, but the Amana furnace doesn't operate, and the integrated control module diagnostic LED is flashing five times, it indicates that the flame is sensed even when there's no call for heat. Correct any short circuits either at the flame sensor or in the flame sensor wiring.

How to fix an Amana GMES80 that won't start and the LED is flashing ONE flash?
    • R
      Robert ParkerNov 15, 2025
If your Amana Furnace isn't starting and the diagnostic LED is flashing once, it indicates a furnace lockout due to too many ignition retries. You should locate and fix any gas supply interruptions. It could also mean a failure to establish a flame, which may be due to several factors: * No gas reaching the burners. * A pressure switch stuck in the open position. * A faulty or misaligned igniter (replace or realign it). * Incorrect orifices. * A coated, oxidized, or improperly connected flame sensor (check flame sense signal and clean the sensor if needed). Another cause could be loss of flame after it's established, stemming from issues like an interrupted gas supply, lazy burner flames (due to improper gas pressure or restrictions in the flue and/or combustion air piping), or...
