What to do if my new Amana NTW4605EW doesn't fill completely with water?
    • A
      Amy ChapmanAug 13, 2025
If your Amana HE low-water washer doesn't completely cover the load with water, this is normal. The washer senses the load size and adds the correct amount of water for optimal cleaning. Do not add more water, as this can lift items off the washplate and reduce cleaning effectiveness. For higher water fill, use the Bulky Items or Deep Water Wash cycle.

Why is my Amana Washer vibrating or off-balance?
    • E
      Erik RodriguezAug 17, 2025
Your Amana washer might be vibrating or off-balance for several reasons: * The feet may not be in contact with the floor or locked. Ensure the front and rear feet are firmly on the floor and that the washer is level. * The washer may not be level. Check the floor for flexing or sagging. For uneven flooring, place a 3/4" (19 mm) piece of plywood under the washer. * The load could be unbalanced. Load dry items in loose heaps evenly around the basket wall. Avoid adding wet items or too much water, as this can cause imbalance. * Objects might be caught in the washer drain system. Empty pockets before washing to prevent items like coins from falling between the basket and tub or blocking the pump.

What to do if my Amana Washer load is too wet after washing?
    • S
      Suzanne GravesAug 20, 2025
If your Amana washer leaves the load too wet, it could be due to several factors. Use the recommended cycle/spin speed for your garments. To remove extra water, select Drain /Spin. Ensure the load is evenly distributed in the basket. Tightly packed or unbalanced loads may prevent proper spinning. Also, small items caught in the pump or between the basket and tub can slow draining. Empty pockets and use garment bags for small items.

What to do if my Amana NTW4605EW Washer is tightly packed?
    • H
      hunterbethAug 25, 2025
If your Amana washer is tightly packed, remove several items, rearrange the load evenly in the basket, and add detergent. Close the lid and press START/Pause. Avoid adding more than 1 or 2 additional items after the cycle has started to prevent it from becoming tightly packed or unbalanced. You can also use the Bulky Items or Deep Water Wash cycle for higher water fill.

How to stop Amana NTW4605EW from using too much detergent?
    • S
      Sarah VegaSep 4, 2025
To prevent your Amana washer from using too much detergent, always measure the detergent and follow the directions based on the load size and soil level. Using too much detergent can cause excessive suds, which can hinder the washer's operation. If there are too many suds, select Rinse/Spin without adding detergent.

How to install drain hose on Amana NTW4605EW Washer?
    • J
      James WestSep 8, 2025
To properly install the drain hose on your Amana washer, use the drain hose form and securely attach it to the drainpipe or tub. Ensure you do not place tape over the drain opening.
