Installing through a wall requires extensive carpentry/masonry skills. Inexperienced individuals risk costly damage.
The air conditioner chassis must be removed from the outer case prior to installation.
A finished opening of 24-inches wide by 17-inches high is recommended for proper installation.
The installation site must be within 5 feet of an appropriate electrical outlet.
Do not install in walls thicker than 11-inches; ensure side louvers are clear for walls over 9 3/8-inches.
Cut or build a 17-inch high by 24.25-inch wide opening. Secure case with mortar or concrete nails.
Create a framed opening (17" H x 24.25" W). Secure case to framing with nails or screws.
Center case in opening. Front must project 3/4-inch beyond inside wall for front frame attachment.
Chamfer vertical portions of the opening for walls thicker than 9 3/8-inches to ensure airflow to side louvers.
