What to do if chemical agent is leaking from the safety disc assembly on my Amerex Firefighting Equipment?
    • D
      Dylan JohnsonAug 3, 2025
If you observe a chemical agent and pressure leak from the safety disc assembly, inspect the safety outlet for tightness or damage and tighten if necessary, but only the large hex nut of the assembly. The small round nut should not be adjusted. If the assembly is damaged or ruptured, replace it with Amerex PN 03787/07665 safety disc assembly.

Why is the nitrogen pressure too low in my Amerex Firefighting Equipment even though the valve is closed?
    • A
      andre03Aug 18, 2025
If the nitrogen pressure is too low, but the valve is closed and there is pressure in both cylinders, it may be because the valve seat has leaked, thus pressurizing the agent cylinder. Follow the Recharge Procedure to restore the extinguisher to service.

What to do if nitrogen pressure is too low and there is no pressure in the agent cylinder of my Amerex Firefighting Equipment?
    • D
      dbarnettAug 29, 2025
If the nitrogen pressure is too low, the valve is closed, and there is no pressure observed in the agent cylinder, it is likely due to leakage in the nitrogen valve. Replace it with a properly charged nitrogen cylinder.
