PLB-AMP8 8-Channel Audio Power Amplifier
Connection and Power-Up Procedure
1. Read the Safety Instructions section at the beginning of this document.
2. Plug the amplifier power cord into a properly grounded 115 VAC outlet.
3. Turn the amplifier on. The power switch is located at the right side of the rear panel.
4. Check the "LEVEL" LED display at the upper left corner of the rear panel. A small illuminated
dot should be displayed, indicating that the amplifier is in the default idle mode.
Setting Channel Volume Levels Manually
Amplifier volume levels can be set from Landmark software, PHASTLink input devices (keypads,
touch panels, etc.), or manually at the amplifier's rear panel. An LED readout at the upper left
corner of the rear panel (FIG. 2) displays volume levels for selected channels, as well as the mode
("." = Idle, SA = Save, ID=ID confirmation, SC = Save Confirm).
When the amplifier power is shut off, the most recently saved set of channel volume levels is
maintained in the amplifier's memory. It doesn't matter whether these were saved manually, from
software, or from a keypad or other input device. These are restored at power-on.
You can set volume levels for individual channels, selected stereo channel pairs, or all channels
simultaneously. The individual LEDs above each channel (FIG. 3) indicate the selected channels.
The right-arrow button (FIG. 2) at the upper left corner of the rear panel is used to cycle through the
different channel selection choices and then enter Save mode or Idle mode, as follows:
